UPDATE: Plenty of Seats Available for Spurs-Knicks Finale at Frost Stadium After NY Fans Threatened with Cancellation by San Antonio Owners

0

I guess the owners of the San Antonio Spurs don’t care about making money.

I told you earlier they’d posted a notice to Ticketmaster warning New York and New Jersey fans their tickets would be cancelled even if they’d been purchased.

Now the seating map at Frost Bank Center shows a lot of seats unsold just a few hours before the game.

The “worst” seats are going for $1,000 and the best for $5,000.

It looks like the Spurs’ super fans with Texas oil money aren’t so excited to see their team lose to the Knicks tonight.

And New York fans, who would have ponied up and also spent money in the Podunk town, stayed away. No one wants to fly all the way to San Antonio just to find out they can’t get in.

And San Antonio’s famous historical site, the Alamo? Do you know what happened there? It wasn’t pretty, and it won’t be tonight!

Trailer for New Larry David HBO Show Celebrates American History with Regulars Jerry Seinfeld, Susie Essman, Jon Hamm — But No Cheryl Hines

0

Larry David is back on HBO Max starting June 26th.

“Life, Larry, and the Pursuit of Unhappiness” is Revolutionary, a hilarious looking send up of America 250.

The trailer shows a lot of Larry’s regular players, like Susie Essman, Jon Hamm, and Jerry Seinfeld.

But no sign of Cheryl Hines. Larry’s former TV wife went to the dark side with her husband Robert Kennedy Jr.

She would be funny in a sketch about early patriots rejecting vaccines — and then all dying. Or as the wife of a 1776-er chopping up and eating animals.

Donald Trump’s Birthday Gift: Name Now Officially Removed from Kennedy Center by Court Order in Declaration Signed by Chief Executive

The universe has been restored to some order.

Donald Trump’s name has been removed from the Kennedy Center.

After a court order, Trump missed last night’s deadline and appealed for more time.

The order reads: “Defendants … have … Removed all physical signage on the Kennedy Center building and grounds, including the front portico, that purports to rename the Kennedy Center after President Trump or any other individual besides President Kennedy.”

The court gave him until noon today.

It’s a beautiful, fitting 80th birthday gift to a heinous human being.

Chief executive Matt Floca has signed an affidavit asserting that Trump’s name is gone.

People waited outside the Kennedy Center last night and through the morning until the deed was done.

Trump was so humiliated he made workers put up a tarp to cover the process of removal.

Thanks to Congresswoman Joyce Beatty – -an ex-officio member of the Kennedy Center board — for standing up to Trump and suing to stop this debacle.

What happens next is unclear. The current board was handpicked by Trump. They still follow his orders. After July 7th, no shows are booked for the Center because Trump was shutting it down. Now that he can’t do that, somehow the Center will have to recover and try to schedule entertainment.

Meantime, the Washington National Opera — which left the Kennedy Center because of Trump — is suing over $17 million they say they are owed by theater.

A tweet from JFK grandson Jack Schlossberg follows:

Paul McCartney on the Passing of Friend and Famed Artist David Hockney: “His paintings often gave off a feeling of great joy”

0

On Twitter just now, Paul McCartney has memorialized his friend, famed artist David Hockney.

McCartney says: “We will miss his fabulous personality, his laconic wit and his erudite views on how to look at the world… His paintings often gave off a feeling of great joy.”

Hockney loved musicians. Not only was he close to McCartney, but he counted Joni Mitchell as a pal.

Hockney’s death is a huge loss. Condolences to all his fans, friends, and family.

Knicks fans, beware.

If you bought tickets to tonight’s NBA finals and your credit card has a New York zip code, you could be out of luck.

The very lame San Antonio Spurs are warning on Ticketmaster they can cancel any purchase of tickets with a zip code outside of 150 miles from their sad little town.

Remember the Alamo? Not really. Who cares? That’s all they have down there besides spite.

See the warning from Ticketmaster below. After we destroy this team, let’s not allow anyone from San Antonio to visit New York again. They can stay home and watch lizards roam around. No Broadway, no sports, no nothing.

Trump Celebrates 80th Birthday with Media Stock Hitting All Time Low Price As He Awaits Removal of Name from Kennedy Center

0

Donald Trump celebrates his 80th birthday this weekend.

His gift? His Trump Media stock has hit its all time low, of $7.80.

The stock supports his social media sewer, Truth Social, where he spews garbage and lies and makes things up in the middle of the night.

The company has no value. It’s as empty a shell as the rest of his administration.

Meanwhile, crews are preparing to scrape his name off of the Kennedy Center after a failed take over.

Timothee Chalamet — 3 Time Oscar Nominee — Stars in Commercial for Kalshi Betting Service After “Marty Supreme” Jackets Fail to Sell (Watch)

0

Timothee Chalamet has really learned the Art of the Shill.

The 30 year old three time Oscar nominee is now starring in a commercial for betting site, Kalshi.

On Kalshi, you can place bets on thousands of different things that might happen, like if Chalamet will ever win an Oscar. Or stop dating a Kardashian.

Chalamet isn’t lacking for money. He’s been paid millions for starring in the “Dune” series, and “Wonka,” and has maybe made money from being a rapper.

But selling out is the way of the Kardashians, and he’s learned from the best.

Meantime, all those “Marty Supreme” jackets are just sitting on ebay, relics of a passing moment in the culture.

Oh happy day.

Donald Trump’s name must come down from the Kennedy Center today.

A federal court decision says that the name must be removed and that Trump cannot shut down the Kennedy Center for renovations.

Trump is trying to appeal the decision at the last minute, but it won’t work.

UPDATE Spielberg’s “Disclosure Day” Heads to $45 Mil Weekend, Looks at Lowest Opening for Famed Director in Years Thanks to Sports, Weather

0

UPDATE SAT MORNING: “Disclosure Day” made $13 million on Friday for an opening Thurs-Fri of $19 million. The suggestion is a $45 million open weekend, one of the lowest in the Spielberg oeuvre.

EARLIER

“Disclosure Day” may be the most alien film in Steven Spielberg’s catalog.

The really terrific story of UFO info finally being divulged to the world went over as a dud last night at the box office.

The film made just $6.5 million in previews.

Tonight, if the film makes $10 million, and then does the same Saturday and Sunday, it will be a historic flop.

Timing is everything in the movie release world, and this is not a great weekend for a hit. The weather is stormy. (An ironic problem since Emily Blunt plays a metereologist.) The World Cup has begun in soccer. And tomorrow night, the NBA finals with the Knicks and Spurs will draw maybe 25 million viewers.

“Disclosure Day” also has problems at Rotten Tomatoes. Reviews are at 82% from critics, and a low 74% om the audience meter. I’m surprised, because I really liked it. But audiences are demanding more from movies now than ever before. “Disclosure Day,” unlike other Spielberg classics, may not feel urgent.

We’ll see what happens next. But do go see “Disclosure Day” tonight. Emily Blunt is sensational and the rest of the cast — Colin Firth, Colman Domingo, Josh O’Connor– are outstanding!
