Pop legend singer Linda Ronstadt has three words for Donald Trump and JD Vance: “You’re no good.”
Ronstadt made it clear today that she endorses Kamala Harris and rejects any Trump Rally at a building in Tucson, Arizona — her home town — with her name on it.
Linda says of Trump on Instagram: “I don’t just deplore his toxic politics, his hatred of women, immigrants and people of color, his criminality, dishonesty and ignorance — although there’s that.”

Melania Trump sure looked a lot different 18 years ago.
In a new post promoting her forthcoming novel, “Melania,” the Slovenian former model showed off a rare photo of herself with baby Barron.
The post is supposed to be about motherhood. But the photo with the baby clearly indicates a different face than the one she currently sports.

JD Vance and other Republicans thought Taylor Swift would suffer some kind of popularity loss after she endorsed Kamala Harris.
Yes, she’s really taken it on the chin. Swift won just 6 MTV Video Music Awards last night including Best Video Collaboration, with Post Malone.
Since the endorsement, she’s maintained 11 albums in in the iTunes top 100. Her “Tortured Poets” album has sold over 5 million copies this year including streaming.
Swift’s sales and popularity haven’t dropped one iota. Sorry, MAGA. Taylor Swift dwarfs your mediocrity.
Since the endorsement, Swift has also sent traffic soaring at Voter.org. Swift’s website has sent over 300,000 people to the site. Estimates are that 65,000 people have registered to vote. And not for Donald “The Cat Eater” Trump.
Watch and see what else Swift does for Kamala Harris over the next seven weeks. Of course, Trump always has Ted Nugent and Dennis Quaid.
And Elon Musk? His offer to get Taylor pregnant will probably turn against him in ways we can’t yet imagine.

Abel Tesfaye is back with a new single tomorrow night called “Dancing in the Flames.”
Abel premiered the song at his live streamed sold out show in Sao Paolo. A new album called “Hurry Up Tomorrow” will drop in mid November.
The Weeknd will have a nice comeback after his disastrous HBO series, “The Idol.” It didn’t seem like he could recover from that mess, but Tesfaye has a great voice and knows how to make hit records. Nice to have him back on track!

The price is now $15.49 as Kamala Harris trumped Trump on TV last night in the most memorable presidential debate of all time.
Harris declared on stage to Trump’s face: “Putin will eat your lunch.”
In fact, Harris ate Trump’s lunch on stage. And then spit it out.
Truth Social this morning is filled with sad attempts by Trump to insist he won the debate. But no one believes it, not even Fox News.
Meanwhile, Trump Media is collapsing.
Angelina Jolie’s “Without Blood” is also without good reviews.
The film she directed starring Salma Hayek and Demian Bachir has been panned by critics at the Toronto Film Festival.
Five of the six reviews posted to Rotten Tomatoes are splats. Others that have just posted to their own publications didn’t like it much either.
Lucky for Jolie, she also stars in “Maria” as opera star Maria Callas. Pablo Lorrain directed Natalie Portman to an Oscar nomination in “Jackie” and got raves for Kristen Stewart as Princess Diana.
Jolie will be in the Oscar buzz circle for “Maria,” according to reviewers, who gave it a 74%.
But “Without Blood” is more problematic. The negative reviews won’t help Fremantle, an odd choice for distributor but also the company Jolie signed a three picture deal with to direct her own movies. “Without Blood” would seem like a quick candidate for streaming.
Twice on Fox News tonight Brit Hume declared Kamala Harris the winner of her debate with Donald Trump.
Fox hosts Brett Baier and Martha McCallum struggled to defend Trump, so did Jesse Watters. Only Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham weakly praised Trump.
But Harris did win, she chewed Trump up and spit him out. It was satisfying to finally see someone eviscerate a mad man on live TV, call him out on his lies.
What was clear from the debate? Trump hates immigrants. Really hates them. He accuses them of eating pets. He says they’re getting sex change operations. He blathers and dilly dallies. But he’s over now. Anyone who agreed with him needs a psychiatrist.
Fox News is flummoxed now. Rupert Murdoch must be at wit’s end. His network is calling the debate for Harris. But his NY Post persists living in a fantasy. Which will win? Fox, of course. The Post teeters on the edge of the abyss.

Four years ago, Swift endorsed Joe Biden.

Her millions and millions of fans will take notice of Swift’s reaction to tonight’s debate. Even Fox News said tonight that Harris won the debate.

Like many of you, I watched the debate tonight. If you haven’t already, now is a great time to do your research on the issues at hand and the stances these candidates take on the topics that matter to you the most. As a voter, I make sure to watch and read everything I can about their proposed policies and plans for this country.
Recently I was made aware that AI of ‘me’ falsely endorsing Donald Trump’s presidential run was posted to his site. It really conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation. It brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter. The simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth.
I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election. I’m voting for @kamalaharris
because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos. I was so heartened and impressed by her selection of running mate @timwalz, who has been standing up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades.
I’ve done my research, and I’ve made my choice. Your research is all yours to do, and the choice is yours to make. I also want to say, especially to first time voters: Remember that in order to vote, you have to be registered! I also find it’s much easier to vote early. Francis Ford Coppola’s “Megalopolis” has stunned the audience at Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto.
According to my spy, the movie met with tepid applause and no standing ovation.
During the film, as in Cannes, an actor appeared on stage and spoke to Adam Driver on the screen.
Nevertheless, my spy says the movie is beautifully made. “It’s a monumental work of art. And very tragic the way [Coppola] lost his way.”
Also: “It is the most disjointed and unbelievably mad thing I’ve ever seen. Like Coppola was on a massive LSD trip.”
My spy praised actors Jon Voight, Giancarlo Esposito, and Dustin Hoffman. But he said at one point in the movie, Voight’s character asks his wife if she “likes his boner.”
The spy says: “It could be a brilliant work of art, the only thing I can compare it to is a Salvador Dali painting come to life. It’s stunning for its insanity.”
“Megalopolis” opens September 27th after six months of bad publicity. Adam Driver stars with the aforementioned actors. Coppola put $100 million of his own money in it, couldn’t get a studio to buy it, so he’s four walling it with Lions Gate and hoping for the best.
I was not able to stay in Toronto for the screening, although I will see it as soon as possible.
Last thoughts: “It’s sad because he may have had something great, but the story and his editing are f***ked.”
There was a time when the leading Hollywood actresses complained they had no good roles in movies.
Times have changed. This year, the Best Actress categories for all the awards shows are clogged with Big Names.
Nicole Kidman, Julianne Moore, Tilda Swinton, Amy Adams, Angelina Jolie, Saoirse Ronan, Danielle Deadwyler, Selena Gomez, Jennifer Lopez, Pamela Anderson, Zoe Saldana and Karla Sofia Gascon are already lined up for possible inclusion.
Some of them may have to go the Supporting Actress route to get in on the action. And that’s tough since Moore and Swinton are equal in “The Room Next Door,” for example. They are each likely to land in Lead.
Lopez may be better off in Supporting, although even there she’ll have a lot of competition. And not all the movies have been seen yet. Pus, there may be a groundswell for June Squibb, who was so wonderful in “Thelma.” The 94 year old actress deserves to be included in the conversation.
There are also some total newcomers like Mikey Madison, who’s an overnight sensation in Sean Baker’s wonderful “Anora” as a hilarious, determined sex worker.
