Trump Rants About Top Radio Personality Charlamagne the God as “Low IQ Individual” Who Doesn’t Know Trump “Ended Five Wars”

0

Donald Trump’s new lie to his illiterate base is that he “ended five wars.”

None of this is true, and he’s caused more war and violence than anyone in the world recently.

No matter. Trump posted an insane rant today against radio personality Charlamagne the God. He tried to promote daughter -in-law Lara Trump, but if you read the post, the first sentence doesn’t end anywhere. Where did Lara put the “racist sleazebag”? In her shed? Now we don’t know where Charl the God is!

Trump’s jobs numbers are absymal. the stock market is tanking, gas and grocery prices are going up, there are wars in Gaza and Ukraine that he swore he’d end on his first day in office — which was six months ago.

But this post is important to him. Also, spending $200 million of anyone’s money on an ugly, unneeded and maybe illegal addition to the White House. Imagine if he told those donors, ‘let’s spend $200 million on an aid drop to Gaza.’ LOL.

But this is all a distraction from Epstein’s files, which Trump is in, and his co-opting convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell, who he will likely pardon, along with Sean Diddy Combs.

Box Office: “Fantastic Four” Crossing $200 Mil Today After Rain Drenched Friday Slowed it Down

0

“The Fantastic Four” would have made $200 million last night had it not been for the weather.

Rain was drenching and winds were wild Friday. Here in New York we had water gushing in torrents down the steps of subway stations. It was not a night to go to the movies.

Still, “FF4” is hitting $200 million today. As a new, standalone movie it’s been a big hit. It’s also one of the best reviewed movies of its kind, from both critics and audiences.

Along with “Superman,” “Sinners,” “F1,” “Jurassic World,” and so on, summer 2025 has been pretty, pretty good.

This weekend, “Naked Gun” jumped into the mix with $17 million. Again, not bad for a comedy, a reinvention of a film that first appeared in 1988. Man’s laughter turned out to be infectious. (See the movie for the reference.)

Plus, “Bad Guys 2” joined the list of animated feature hits this summer with $22 million.

After this big run of studio blockbusters, the box office will go into a slide through Labor Day. It’s inevitable. But all of those top hits will keep drawing audiences.

Onward and upward! Just think: on the 15th, we’ll get new film called “Americana” starring Sydney Sweeney, now the center of massive negative attention. She’s a registered Republican in ad many are calling racist. Her red carpet should be so much fun!

Box Office: “Naked Gun” Opens to $6.3 Mil, “Fantastic Four” Still Number 1, “Bad Guys 2” Brings $9.1 Mil

0

Surely, you jest.

“Don’t call me Shirley.”

Alas, in the new “Naked Gun,” there is no riff on the famous line from the Zucker-Abrams-Zucker playbook.

Still, the new “Naked Gun” brought in $6.3 million including Thursday previews and Friday shows.

That’s not bad considering the last minute onslaught of publicity that included a faux celebrity romance between stars Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson, and then speculation about Neeson’s private areas from insane former model Janice Dickinson.

“Naked Gun” will probably not clear $20 million for the weekend, but the budget is low and hopes are high to get close to that number.

The other new movie is “Bad Guys 2.” It’s animated, with actors like Sam Rockwell, Anthony Ramos, Zazie Beetz, etc. “Bad Guys 2” is another hit from Universal, kicking off the weekend with $9.1 million.

That leaves “Fantastic Four,” heading toward $200 million, and “Superman” going for $300 million.

“Eddington” and a couple of other A24 movies aren’t doing much business. But the mini studio is about to launch Spike Lee’s highly anticipated “Highest and Lowest,” which should be a big launch.

Kamala’s Book Is Number 1 on Amazon After Colbert Show: 2 Months Before Pub Date and Not Yet Discounted

0

Just in case you were wondering:

former VP Kamala Harris’s book is a runaway best seller.

Even though today is August 2nd and the book isn’t published until September 26th.

“10 Days” is number 1 on amazon. At its publisher price of 30 bucks, not discounted.

This comes from Harris’s appearance on Stephen Colbert’s Late Show on Thursday night.

The book was a surprise, as was the booking.

Harris handled herself with grace and aplomb. Colbert was the perfect interviewer.

I’m laughing because the NY Post has tried to make it seem like the whole thing was a failure.

The interview was a total success, however, and the book is the number 1 bestseller.

Harris is going to tell story of how she learned Joe Biden was not going to run, how she was his replacement, and how the shortest presidential campaign in history — one without primaries — was hastily assembled. She’s already made it clear she’s not throwing Biden under the bus. She has too much respect for him and for herself.

Who gets the last laugh now.

PS Do I think she could win now? No. It’s not for lack of qualifications. America will never elect a woman, and especially a Black one. These are sad facts. To bring in Republicans, the Democrats need strong white guys.

Here are clips from the show from my first story.

Will Samantha Return for the End of “Sex and the City”? Actress Kim Cattrall Posts Pic of Serene Sunset

Kim Cattrall seems pretty Zen about the end of “Sex and the City.”

She posted a beautiful photo of a Vancouver sunset a short time ago. She wrote: “It’s the end of a very long week.”

Is that code for HBO negotiated all week to get Cattrall as Samantha back for the final episode?

Or is it code for Cattrall said no after a lot of wrangling.

My guess is, she won’t make an appearance. She’s stated her feelings clearly. She already did one quick cameo, filmed away from the other women. That was hard enough to pull off. Reports said Kim got a million bucks for that little scene, although that seems high.

Kim balked at reviving Samantha if she wasn’t going to be paid the same amount as Sarah Jessica Parker. And seriously, in her late 60s, Samantha was not going to be the dirty talking sex explorer she was in her 40s.

Now the character lives in London and has not been part of the “And Just Like That” series. Maybe Carrie will get an email asking her to come visit Samantha in London. But that Zen picture, I think, means all is good. Move on.

Will “Sex and the City” End Without Explaining What Happened to Willie Garson as Stanford Blatch?

0

“Sex and the City” is finally coming to and after 27 years.

No more episodes, spin offs, or movies.

But will they ever explain what happened to Stanford Blatch?

Stanny was Carrie’s best friend, and played by the beloved Willie Garson.

In 2021, Garson died quickly and unexpectedly of cancer. The show explained his absence by saying Blatch moved to Japan and became a monk.

There was nary another mention of him. No death, no funeral. Just gone.

Something similar happened on “Curb Your Enthuasiasm” when actor Bob Einstein died. He played Larry David’s pal, Marty Funkhouser. He disappeared during Season 10, and the reason was that he was “in China.”

Nothing was ever said in seasons 11 and 12, even Marty’s brother turned up, played by Vince Vaughn. The series ended without an explanation.

For Stanford Blatch, there should be some mention of his fate. Garson deserves at least that much. But now, with only two episodes left after this week, he may remain “a monk living in Japan” forever.

Sarah Jessica Parker Responds to End of Carrie Bradshaw and “Sex and the City” After 27 Years

Sarah Jessica Parker has played Carrie Bradshaw for 27 years across the first series, two movies, and now “And Just Like That.”

The party is over, and Parker — now very wealthy, a superstar with a lot on the horizon — has her say here:

Google — Facing Complaints of Killing Website Search in Favor of AI — Removes Public Liaison

0

Stick a fork in Google Search.

The company has dumped their Search liaison, a man named Danny Sullivan.

Sullivan answered questions on social media about how to improve search traffic.

But as Google has allowed AI to destroy traffic and website businesses, Sullivan has been in retreat. Today his Twitter account announced that it was shutting down. Google said they were moving him to a new job — muzzling him, as there’s nothing left to say.

You can read all about it here.

This is not the Danny Sullivan who was a race car driver. I always wondered what happened to him. Maybe Google moved him, too!

Google — as well as Microsoft– has demolished search not just for independent publishers but for everyone. Last week Fortune magazine laid off a huge amount of staff because they said they can’t get readers online. Every day is an uphill challenge, with little payoff. Sullivan’s exit is just one piece of the proof.

Trump Legacy Of Stupidity: Corporation for Public Broadcasting is Winding Down After Defunding

0

Dreadful and tragic. Donald Trump has triumphed at the destruction of literacy and education.

Here’s the press release:

The Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) announced today that it will begin an orderly wind-down of its operations following the passage of a federal rescissions package and the release of the Senate Appropriations Committee’s FY 2026 Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies (Labor-H) appropriations bill, which excludes funding for CPB for the first time in more than five decades.

For nearly 60 years, CPB has carried out its Congressional mission to build and sustain a trusted public media system that informs, educates, and serves communities across the country. Through partnerships with local stations and producers, CPB has supported educational content, locally relevant journalism, emergency communications, cultural programming, and essential services for Americans in every community.

“Despite the extraordinary efforts of millions of Americans who called, wrote, and petitioned Congress to preserve federal funding for CPB, we now face the difficult reality of closing our operations,” said CPB President and CEO Patricia Harrison. “CPB remains committed to fulfilling its fiduciary responsibilities and supporting our partners through this transition with transparency and care.”

CPB informed its employees today that the majority of staff positions will conclude with the close of the fiscal year on September 30, 2025. A small transition team will remain through January 2026 to ensure a responsible and orderly closeout of operations. This team will focus on compliance, final distributions, and resolution of long-term financial obligations, including ensuring continuity for music rights and royalties that remain essential to the public media system.

“Public media has been one of the most trusted institutions in American life, providing educational opportunity, emergency alerts, civil discourse, and cultural connection to every corner of the country,” Harrison said. “We are deeply grateful to our partners across the system for their resilience, leadership, and unwavering dedication to serving the American people.”

CPB’s Board of Directors and management are working closely to address the legal, financial, and operational requirements of the closure. CPB will provide regular updates and guidance to stations and producers navigating the profound challenges ahead.

Pop Fizz: Justin Bieber’s “Swag” Album a Bust with Less than 300K Sold, CD Won’t Be Ready til December

0

Justin Bieber’s surprise comeback album is a bust.

“Swag” has dropped to number 25 on iTunes after just three weeks.

Approximate sales right now are 235,000 almost all from streaming. The number will update tonight but still be less than 300,000.

Bieber didn’t make any promotional appearances or perform any part of the album live. He no longer tours. So “Swag” didn’t have much of a chance.

Also, because it was dropped digitally without warning, “Swag” has no swag to sell — no CDs or LPs. The CD will be available December 12th. By that time, what little interest there was should be dissipated to zero.

“Swag” produced only one minor single — “Daisies” — which never really took off despite a big effort on social media.

The whole project has been hampered by Bieber’s own social media depicting him as tattooed shirtless pot-head who acts like’s a 16 year old delinquent. He’s actually 32, and a father.

Meanwhile, Bieber’s wife, the formerly Hailey Baldwin, has turned into a cosmetics magnate. She sold her company for nearly a billion dollars. Her insistence on being an adult has paid off.

Now that “Swag” is over, Bieber can turn to his interest: selling ugly slippers and sunglasses under the band “Skylrk.”
