Dennis Quaid Wants to Terminate Child Support of Twins Who Almost Died — and Who He Collected $750,000 for in Malpractice Case

It’s not possible that there is a worst Quaid than Randy.

But Dennis, who always considered the normal one, has turned out to be far worse.

According to TMZ, Dennis has filed to terminate child support to his twins as they turn 18.

These were the kids he had with Kimberly Buffington, a real estate agent from Texas, after his divorce from Meg Ryan.

TMZ says Dennis “is also asking the court that any additional payments based on his income are prorated to the date of his kiddos’ high school graduation dates rather than his full-year income.”

But even TMZ is forgetting that the twins, Thomas and Zoe, almost died when they were born. They received an overdose of heparin at the hospital in 2008. It could have killed them.

Quaid sued the hospital, Cedars Sinai, of Los Angeles, and walked off with a $750,000 settlement.

TMZ says Dennis pays about $150,000 a year in child support since his divorce from Buffington in 2018. That would come to $900,000 so far. But two thirds of that could have come from that settlement money.

He is really a terrible guy. But we knew that already. Quaid is now on his fourth marriage, to a Laura Savoie, who is 39 years younger than the 72 year old. They don’t have children, and I’m sure Savoie is tired of seeing Dennis’s checks for movies like “Reagan” and TV shows like “Lawman: Bass Reeves.”

I mean, those kids are 18. It’s time they went out on their own. Who cares if they almost bled to death right after birth?

Heck, maybe Dennis’s actor son with Meg Ryan, Jack Quaid, can take care of them! Why should Dennis?

Jacob Elordi Still Wants to Play James Bond: Alfonso Cuaron’s Chanel Commercial With Him Could Be His Audition Tape

Blame It On Trump: Milli Vanilli Says They’re NOT Performing at Freedom 250 Fest, Singers Say They Were Never Asked to Come

Girl, you know it wasn’t true.

The much maligned Milli Vanilli isn’t performing at Donald Trump’s Freedom 250 Fest on the Washington Mall this summer.

I broke the news yesterday that the scandal plagued act was going to be featured.

But now one of the singers, Jodie Rocco, said in an email to the Associate Press “My sister and I were shocked to see our name, ‘Milli Vanilli’, as one of the performers.”

Even the most D list of the performers cited by Freedom 205 is out.

They join Morris Day and the Time, and Young MC in claiming their names were used without permission in the announcement.

LOL.

However, Freedom Williams, who owns the name C&C Music Fsctory, posted a foul mouthed video to Instagram insisting he was bringing the rogue version of the 90s disco group absolutely.

And so far Vanilla Ice and Bret Michaels are each performing, as well.

The Great American State Fair has turned into the Great American Rip off. Are we surprised?

The CEO of Freedom 250 is Keith Krach, who served as an under secretary of state during Trump’s first term. He and his wife, according to FEC Records, donated at least $75,000 to the Trump Vance Inaugural campaign. If he’s not embarrassed, he should be!

Jacob Elordi Still Wants to Play James Bond: Alfonso Cuaron’s Chanel Commercial With Him Could Be His Audition Tape

0

Remember Alfonso Cuaron was being considered as director of the next James Bond movie.

Denis Villeneuve got the job, but Cuaron certainly had Bond on his mind when he directed this Chanel commercial.

Jacob Elordi stars in this short romp that looks very familiar.

As a spy says, “This could be Jacob Elordi’s audition tape!”

Maybe it is. Or was.

CBS Lets Bari Weiss Gut “60 Minutes” Like a Fish, Officially Fires Sharyn Alfonsi, Replaces Executive Producer with Writer from “The Idol”

0

CBS is letting Bari Weiss destroy “60 Minutes.”

Gone today is Sharyn Alfonsi, who fought with Weiss over her report on the torture of Venezuelan prisoners in El Savador. Alfonsi is a four star journalist who should have remained with the show for 20 more years.

According to reports, Weiss has also kicked out correspondent Cecilia Vega.

Also gone is Executive Producer Tanya Simon, who’s been with the show for years and whose father, correspondent Bob Simon, was beloved. Her note to the staff is below.

Simon is being replaced by a freelance writer from Vanity Fair, 49 year old Nick Bilton. He has no experience in broadcast TV.

The New York Times describes Bilton as “a former New York Times technology columnist and a filmmaker who has directed and produced documentaries on business and technology for HBO and Netflix.”

In fact, Bilton was a staff writer on The Weeknd’s horrendous failure of a TV series, “The Idol.” It was canceled after five episodes and had some of the worst reviews in HBO history.

His only other credit on the imdb is directing a documentary called “Fake Famous.”

So what Weiss is doing is carrying out orders from her bosses, David and Larry Ellison, and Donald Trump.

With Anderson Cooper also gone, it remains to be seen who will return to the show in the fall. Rumors are that Bill Whittaker may retire. Lesley Stahl may not want to work with Bilton, we’ll see. Scott Pelley? I can’t imagine him taking orders from Bilton.

Luckily, “Access Hollywood” has been cancelled. So Bilton can always hire Mario Lopez.

The late, great Don Hewitt is turning in his grave.

Simon’s note follows, then Alfonsi’s incredible report

Murdoch Cutbacks: NY Post Drops Editor in Chief of Decider Section as Newspaper Loses Millions Every Month: Who’s Next?

0

The New York Post is finally facing their financial issues.

They’ve laid off Mark Graham, editor in chief of the Decider section. Others connected to the section, I’m told, were let go as well.

This would be the work of Lachlan Murdoch, who has to face the fact that the Post bleeds millions every month.

Graham wrote on Twitter:

SOME PROFESSIONAL NEWS! Yesterday was my last day at

@decider, an entertainment brand that I built from scratch over the last 12 years as founder and EIC. I am immensely proud of the work, and our impact, and thankful to all who played a part in its success. Onwards and upwards!

He added in a post now deleted: “I will not remain quiet.”

Decider was a refreshing addition to the Post, actually delivering information untainted by the Murdoch aegis.

It could be their budget has gone to the money draining California Post, Murdoch’s ill-advised effort to branch out in Los Angeles. It’s costing a fortune, and covering the same material has the trade magazines and many Hollywood newsletters.

Keep refreshing…

Trump Freedom 250 Fest Falling Apart as Young MC Backs Out, Morris Day and the Time Ticked Off, But Milli Vanilli — Worst Act in History — Remains

Trump’s Freedom 250 fest is falling apart.

The good news is that Milli Vanilli — the most embarrassing act in pop history — will perform on the Mall for Trump’s gang this summer.

Really, it’s just Milli, since Vanilli is in a higher place. Milli Vanilli is a joke from 1988, having been caught lip synching their songs on their records, using other singers’ voices.

But now, dropping out of the event are Morris Day and the Time via a terse social media post. Also YoungMC, who says he was never told the booking was political.

Luckily, D listers Vanilla Ice and Bret Michaels are hanging in. So is Martina McBride, for the moment.

Freedom 250 also booked “The Commodores.” This is without Lionel Richie or other original members of the group that gave us “Easy” and “Brickhouse.” Only one original member remains, William King.

As for C&C Music Factory, they are also a pale reminder of the original group. One founding member, Freedom Williams, secured the trademark for the touring name. But the C&C — Clivilles and Cole — are long gone, as is Martha Wash.

I’m amazed Freedom 250 didn’t get Trump followers like Nicki Minaj, Ted Nugent, or even Dannis Quaid out there on the Mall. But you know, there’s no shade on the Mall, it’s very bright and sunny, enough to shine a light on MAGA.

Kanye West Gets a Second Tampa Show from City, Raymond James Financial Even Though First One Still Has Plenty of Tix Avail: Hitler? Who’s He?

Raymond James Financial loves them some Kanye West.

So does the city of Tampa.

They’re giving Hitler-loving antisemite Kanye West a second show at Raymond James Stadium on June 28th.

The first show, on the 26th, is far from sold out.

I know nothing about Raymond James Financial, but I’m learning. They don’t care about Kanye’s hate filled history of swastikas on t shirts or singing “Heil Hitler.” They just want the money.

So here goes. Paul Shukry is their CEO. Here’s a link to their executive leadership page. Thirteen people. No Jews. No Black men. One Black woman who, I hope is keeping notes for a book.

Do they have Jewish clients? Not for long.

Shukry made $17 million last year, according to reports.

As for Kanye, his list of atrocities is long. He’s banned from performing in the UK, France, and other countries. Adidas, The Gap, and other companies broke their deals with him over his antisemitism. He has no record company.

Let’s give Tampa mayor Jane Castor a call. She’s at (813) 274-8251. The city owns the stadium. Hey, maybe she’s a fan!

Watch “Disclosure Day” Trailer for Steven Spielberg’s New Movie Might Be Close Encounters of the Fourth Kind — Alien Revealed!

0

Here’s the trailer for “Disclosure Day.”

Is this Steven Spielberg’s great film yet? (I mean, apart from “Schindler’s List” and “Saving Private Ryan” and “Lincoln.”)

In the vernacular of “ET,” “Close Encounters,” and “AI,” that would be some achievement. People are saying the alien in the trailer looks like the one at the end of “Close Encounters.” Is this a sequel? Does “ET” make an appearance?

Opens June 12th. Stars Emily Blunt and Josh O’Connor. And an alien who is revealed here!

Trump Team Freedom 250 Books Milli Vanilli, Non Existent Fake Group from the 1980s, For Great American State Fair — Another Group Backs Out Already

0

Blame it on the rain.

Donald Trump’s Freedom 250 committee has booked musical acts for next month’s Great American State Fair on the Mall in the Washington DC.

It’s a group of acts ranging from ok to terrible, with Martina McBride, the Commodores and Morris Day and the Time* at the high end, and Vanilla Ice below the low end. (*The group says they are, in fact, not playing at the Festival. See below.)

But even worse than Vanilla Ice is a group that’s actually non existent now, and was back when they existed.

That would be Milli Vanilli, disgraced in the mid 80s for turning out to be lip sync frauds.

The pair, comprising Fab Morvan and Rob Pilatus, were signed to Arista Records out of Germany. They had a contemporary look and did some disco dancing while they sang hits like “Blame it On the Rain,” and “Girl, You Know It’s True.” They were so hot they even won the Grammy Award for Best New Artist. They returned it after the reveal.

The duo was eventually unmasked as frauds. They were lip syncing to music pre-recorded by other singers. The actual vocalists who recorded the songs for Milli Vanilli were Brad Howell, John Davis, and Charles Shaw.

The scandal was enormous. Ultimately, Pilatus died of an accidental overdose ten years later, in 1998. He was only 33.

That was the end of Milli Vanilli. From then on, the name came to mean ‘fraud’. Anytime a singer is caught lip-synching, the nane “Milli Vanilli’ is invoked.

So how they will play on the Mall? And who are they now?

Apparently, Morvan, the living member, is on the road with actual back up singers. They appear in something called I Love The 90’s Tour. I guess Freedom 250 feels they exemplify the best of American music, even though they’re German and they’re fakes.

Other acts on the bill for Great American State Fair include performers far from the public eye including C&C Music Factory, and Flo Rida. The whole thing culminates with Trump’s old friend, Bret Michaels, one time contestant on “The Apprentice,” who would have to pay us to hear him, and even then he’d be rejected.
