Taylor Swift’s The Life of A Showgirl is not produced by Jack Antonoff

Taylor has changed things up with Msx Martin and his team.

She’s also unveiled the cover and track list. See below. There are 12 songs including a duet with Sabrina Carpenter.

“South Park” Kristi Noem Episode Scored 6 Mil Viewers Worldwide, Marathon Tonight

0

No new “South Park” tonight.

Last week’s episode was such a hit that Comedy Central is running an anniversary marathon tonight. New episode next week.

Last week’s Kristi Noem ICE blowout brought in over 6 million viewers worldwide.

Total numbers of season 27 episode 2 dwarfed episode 1, which was a hit.

The irony of this sesson’s success is that it’s due to.tje show skewering its parent company, Paramount Skydance which has otherwise kowtowed to Donald Trump.

Who Will Play KISS’s Hits at the Kennedy Center Honors? Likely Candidates are Kid Rock, Ted Nugent

0

KISS is getting a Kennedy Center honor in December, thanks to Donald Trump.

That KISS, a B list rock band, comes ahead of dozens of other more innovative and ground breaking bands, is ridiculous.

The tradition at the Kennedy Center Honors is that other rockers would play KISS’s hits while they sit in the balcony with Trump.

Who would play KISS’s rudimentary rock cacophonies? The answers are Kid Rock and Ted Nugent, outspoken Trump fans who would know songs like “Detroit Rock City” and “I Was Made for Lovin’ You.”

Maybe Sydney Sweeney could sing the ballad, “Beth.”

The other honorees are notable right wingers Sylvester Stallone — who Jon Voight is likely to toast — and George Strait, who wouldn’t accept the award previously during Democratic administrations.

The CBS audience doesn’t know what will hit them. If they watch, that is. For right now, the show has no producer.

KISS is On Trump’s List: Iconic Rock Band Confirmed as A Kennedy Center Honoree, with Stallone, Strait, Gloria Gaynor, “Phantom” Star

0

KISS is on Trump’s list.

I’ve confirmed through several sources that the iconic New York rock band will be a Kennedy Center honoree.

Donald Trump will make his announcement today at sometime.

KISS founder Gene Simmons is a Trump, ally of course. A Republican who was born in Israel, Simmons has often supported Trump and conservative causes.

Simmons has also criticized Trump, mildly, in the past.

But to get a rock band to accept the Kennedy Center award from Trump — who may change the name to honor himself — Trump didn’t have a big group of potential nominees.

Simmons and KISS will join Sylvester Stallone, Michael Crawford, George Strait, and Gloria Gaynor.

It’s a B List for sure.

Gaynor is known for two hits, really one — “I Will Survive.” She’s Black so Trump and Richard Grenell have covered that base. Otherwise, she’s a ridiculous honoree.

Strait, Stallone, Simmons are all Trump fans. Crawford was the star of “Phantom of the Opera,” Trump’s favorite show.

Liza Minnelli? Denzel washington? Fuhgeddaboutit.

NY’s Mayor Eric Adams Courts the Broadway Crowd with “Made in NY” Awards for Live Theater After Already Saluting Movies

It was just a short time ago that Gracie Mansion hosted the Made in NY Awards for the movie community.

That was before Mayor Eric Adams was on the run, so to speak, from Zohar Mamdani in the 2025 election.

But now that Mamdani is killing Adams in the polls, Adams is looking for support in the Broadway community.

So we’re getting a second Made in NY party at Gracie Mansion, this one for live theater, on September 15th.

Adams and the great Pat Swinney Kaufman, Commissioner of the NYC Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment, will hand out awards to a bunch of stars and theater professionals (to be named soon).

Will this help Adams’ campaign? Will it help Broadway? Will the hors d’oeuvres be good? Because even if the honorees aren’t Adams backers, everyone on Broadway loves a free party with food. They’re not stupid.

Back to Gracie Mansion we go!

PS If Adams loses the election, he can always get the role of Billy Flynn in “Chicago.” He’d be perfect!

Trailer for Timothee Chalamet Movie Features Two Wealthy MAGA Celebrities — Kevin O’Leary and John Catsimitidis — in Acting Roles

Big surprises in the new trailer for “Marty Supreme.”

The Josh Safdie directed feature starring Timothee Chalamet spotlights to big MAGA Trump backers.

Kevin O’Leary from “Shark Tank” and John Catsimitidis, owner of far right radio station, make appearances.

Catsimitidis owns supermarket chains in New York. He’s often attempted to run for elected office. But his latest imprint is WABC, where the right wing invective is 24/7.

“Marty Supreme” seems to be about a hustler played by Chalamet and a movie star played by Gwyneth Paltrow.

Is this the new Hollywood? Cameos by Trump friends? And from A24, the indie darling film company? Who else is this movie? Kellyanne Conway? Betsy DeVos?

Trump Posts Ominous Photo of Himself as Leader of the Kennedy Center as We Wait for His “Nominee” Choices

0

we’re waiting this morning for Donald Trump’s choices of people to be named Kennedy Center nominees, as he calls them..

This will be the today’s distraction from the Jeffrey Epstein scandal. Trump is hip deep in that one, not releasing the Epstein files and coddling convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell.

Overnight he posted a photo of himself from the Kennedy Center balcony, posing like Evita Peron. He envisions renaming the center for himself because he hates former president John F. Kennedy and would like to see his legacy erased.

During the Kennedy’s short term — before he was assassinated — JFK introduced arts and culture to the White House. Trump has erased them completely.

The photo comes from the June 11th fundraiser at the Kennedy Center in which cast members of “Les Miserables” refused to perform for the orange fascist.

Oscar Winner Mira Sorvino Coming to Broadway Next Month in Longest Running Musical “Chicago” as Roxie Hart

0

Mira Sorvino is coming to Broadway.

The Oscar winner will join the long running musical “Chicago” on September 15th as Roxie Hart.

Roxie is kind of the musical version of Mira’s award winning character Linda from Woody Allen’s classic comedy, “Mighty Aphrodite.” It’s perfect stunt casting.

Sorvino is the latest in a long line of celebrities recruited over the years by producers Fran and Barry Weissler to gin up interest in Broadway’s longest running musical. Among them have been Tony winners Bebe Neuwirth and Ann Reinking, plus Christie Brinkley and even Pamela Anderson.

Somehow even when it seems impossible “Chicago” keeps going.

But let’s face it: the songs by Kander and Ebb are eternal. So is the choreography from Bob Fosse.

“Chicago” opened 29 years ago. Yes! Three decades. Welcome, Mira!

Her dad, the late Paul Sorvino, would be so proud, he’d take the whole orchestra section to see her debut! In the Oscar winning 2003 movie version of “Chicago,” Renee Zellweger was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for playing Roxie. Here she is:

Trump, in Latest Authoritarian Move, Tells the Smithsonian Museums That He Will Review All Materials for 250th Anniversary in His Vision of History

0

To all of you who voted for Donald Trump because you didn’t like Joe Biden, or thought Trump was a “disruptor,” or some other bull shit, you’ll like this.

In his latest authoritarian move — and there have been several just this week — the uneducated, flatulent, misogynistic, racist, blowhard has sent a letter to the Smithsonian Institute. He’s going to take control of it, the way he has the Kennedy Center.

Trump will essentially rewrite history for the 250th anniversary of the United States.

He plans on reviewing all materials and deciding if they align with his idea of history.

You can read this travesty here. Click this link.

The bottom line: “Museums should begin implementing content corrections where necessary, replacing divisive or ideologically driven language with unifying, historically accurate, and constructive descriptions across placards, wall didactics, digital displays, and other public-facing materials.”

Trump told you he’d be a dictator. He is fulfilling his promise every day.

Will anyone in the government stand up to him? I doubt it.

Taylor Swift: New Album Called “The Life of a Showgirl” Launching Right on Time for Travis Kelce’s Football Season

The merch alerts went out this morning.

Taylor Swift has a new album coming sometime between now and October 12th. Like, right as football season begins. The cross marketing with the Kansas City Chiefs will be awesome.

The album is called “The Life of a Showgirl.”

Did you really think Taylor’s absence from public life was because she was chilling out, or getting married, or taking time off?

Forget it.

The announcement came yesterday on the Kelce brothers’ podcast.

No cover art yet but plenty of opportunities to buy “The Life of a Showgirl” in advance..
