Kanye Shut Down: “Donda 2” Album Gone from Charts After 7 Days, “Hitler” Video Removed from You Tube

0

You can cancel Kanye West after all.

Once everyone woke up and got to the office, Kanye’s plugs were pulled.

YouTube removed all iterations of his “Heil Hitler” video. Whew!

Spotify cut Kanye’s version, but a cover of it still exists by Chad Energy James, whoever that is. Do your work, Spotify.

Kanye’s album, “Donda 2,” hit number 1 on the iTunes top album chart when it was dropped last Saturday. It quickly fell to 35, and is now gone from the top 200. It didn’t sell enough copies to register on any chart.

Despite the “Heil Hitler” lyrics, a number of people posted support for Kanye and the song. That’s how far gone a segment of the population is. Bewildering. But they’re like the guy from the CUTS clothing store who told Jake Tapper the tariffs were killing his friends’ businesses but he still supported Trump’s vision.

What can you do?

PS Insignificant streamer called Scrybe, however, still has the song and the album. Shun them.

NBC Canceling Shows No One Watched or Talked About: “Suits LA,” “Found,” “Irrational” Something

0

Here’s a shock: NBC is canceling three shows no one watched. They were used as background noise for pets so they wouldn’t get lonely.

“Found” was on for two seasons. Really? Was it the opposite of “Lost”? “Suits LA” was an attempt to cash in on the mysterious popularity of “Suits” on Netflix after it ended its run on USA Network. Did they think Meghan Markle would do a guest shot?

Apparently there was a show called “Irrational” something. No one knew it. NBC is famous for putting on filler hour long shows that no one follows. No one ever watched the one with James Spader, it went on for years. Well, it’s gone. Sorry.

NBC also axed the revived “Night Court,” which was also like wallpaper. The original “Night Court” was popular because of Harry Anderson, who is no longer with us. But it was filler comedy to begin with. Again, my condolences.

CBS canceled Queen Latifah’s show, “The Equalizer.” Too bad, it was a good Sunday night show. I like Queen L, and Lorraine Toussaint. But the writing was on the wall. CBS yanked it all over the place. They used it as a mid-season replacement. When that happens, you’re done.

If the networks considered putting on something interesting, of value, or cutting edge, we’d all faint. But all the shows that were snuffed will be replaced by more iterations of existing hits. There’s no more Steve Bochco type innovation. If only…

Also, ABC renewed all their unscripted shows including “American Idol,” because why not? The dogs and cats need content. No word yet on “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette.” It’s time to shut it down, but will they?

UPDATED DOA: “Shadow Force” Cost $60 Million, Made $200K Last Night, Rotten Reviews

0

UPDATE SAT 12:37PM: Down to 32% on Rotten Tomatoes. No grosses reported yet from Friday night.

If “Shadow Force” hadn’t cost a shocking $60 million to make, Lionsgate might not be in tears.

But Joe Carnahan’s action film did cost that much because it stars Kerry Washingon, Omar Sy, Mark Strong, Method Man, and recent Oscar winner Da’Vine Randolph.

These people do not come cheap.

Nonetheless, “Shadow Force” is dead on arrival. Last night it made just $200,000.

Lionsgate kept it hidden from critics so that reviews are only trickling in today. There are only 13 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, adding up t0 46% approval. If more come in, the percentage will drop.

We will be seeing “Shadow Force” on streaming and airplanes very soon.

All those good actors — what were they thinking? There are 12 listed producers including Sterling K. Brown, who is not in the film. One of them is Christopher Woodrow, whose Woodrow Entertainment has been mired in legal conflicts for a decade. Among them, according to The Hollywood Reporter, “claims ranging from embezzlement to defamation.”

Woodrow, who produced “Birdman,” was also sued over that film.

And that, my friends, is showbiz!

Exclusive: Leonardo DiCaprio Will Present Robert De Niro with Palme d’or At Cannes Film Fest Next Week

0

Exclusive: I can tell you that Leonardo DiCaprio is going to the Cannes Film Festival next week. He has a good reason.

Leo will present the prestigious Palme d’or award to Robert De Niro at a ceremony on Tuesday, May 13th in the Grand Theater Lumiere.

The two actors are good friends, having appeared in several movies together including the recent “Killers of the Flower Moon.”

De Niro will be presented first on opening night of Cannes May 12th during the ceremony that takes place in French and is broadcast live all over the country.

On the day after the 13th, De Niro will hold a masterclass interview. With any luck, the New York hero and two time Oscar winner will make a great speech denouncing Trump and the foreign film tariffs, among other things. I wish I could be there!

De Niro has already served as head of a Cannes jury and was present three years ago when “Killers of the Flower Moon” premiered.

Leo at Cannes is always an event, as he slouches around in his tight baseball cap, does no press, and is seen in photos every morning enjoying himself with young beauties at exclusive clubs. We live through him!

Spotify, YouTube, Scrybe Upload Kanye “Heil Hitler” Song, Video For Purchase and Streaming, Includes Hitler Speech

0

Spotify and YouTube are each making available since yesterday a Kanye West song and video called “Heil Hitler.” It includes pieces of a speech by the vile Nazi leader.

On YouTube, the song has had hundreds of thousands of plays combined from different postings. One post has almost 500,000 views. Fourteen thousand people marked the thumbs up button. No one clicked thumbs down.

Spotify took down Kanye’s version, which was posted under the name Skizzy, but a cover version went up immediately.

Yesterday I read an article called “Kanye Can’t Be Canceled.” What will it take exactly?

UPDATE Kanye says we can hear the song and the Donda 1 album on a streaming service based in Hawaii called Scrybe. It’s owned by Christian Phyfier.

Here are the lyrics:
Man, these people took my kids from me
Then they froze my bank account
I got so much anger in me, got no way to take it out
Think I’m stuck in the Matrix
Where the fuck is my nitrous?
Yes, I’m a cuck, I like when people fuck on my bitch
The shit that I’m posting on Twitter—
They telling me “Ye, don’t say that”
How niggas can’t see me in public?
I’m driving a all-chrome Maybach
With all of the money and fame
I still can’t get my kids back
With all of the money and fame
I still don’t get to see my children
Niggas see my Twitter
But don’t see how I be feeling
So I became a nazi
Yeah, bitch, I’m the villian

[Chorus: Ye]
Nigga, heil Hitler
Nigga, heil Hitler
They don’t understand the things I say on Twitter
Nigga, heil Hitler
They don’t understand the things I say on Twitter
All my niggas Nazis, nigga, heil Hitler
Nigga, heil Hitler
Nigga, heil Hitler
All my niggas Nazis, nigga, heil Hitler

Trump Embarrasses Himself Choosing Fox News’s Jeanine Pirro, Named in Network $787 Mil Lawsuit, as Acting DA in Washington DC

0

On Saturday Night Live, Cecily Strong used to send up Fox News host Jeanine Pirro as a lush, drunk on box wine.

In real life, Pirro often seemed drunk on the air. She rapidly became a laughingstock.

Now Donald Trump — in an effort to stock his appointments with the worst possible people — has made Pirro Acting DA in Washington, DC. It’s a pay back for Pirro unconditionally supporting Trump all these years.

The good news is, she’s off the air. For now.

In New York, before her ascension to Fox News, Pirro was well known to us as the DA in Westchester county after serving a three year term as a judge. She had sketchy career before taking a job as a low rent Judy Judy on TV.

Pirro’s husband, Albert, has always been in trouble. Early in the marriage he fathered a child with another woman. He denied paternity at first but eventually he gave in.

They eventually divorced after he was found guilty of conspiracy, tax evasion, and filing a false tax return for hiding over $1 million in personal income as business expenses between 1988 and 1997. It was 23 counts all together. He spent 17 months in jail.

In November 2017, Jeanine ran afoul of the law when she was charged with speeding for driving 119 miles per hour in upstate New York.

More recently, she was named in the voting machine company lawsuit that cost Fox News $787 million. She repeated all the lies about election tampering, loudly.

As with Trump, New Yorkers know the story. She’s a clown and a disgrace. I knew her a little at Fox News, where she was a Roger Ailes favorite.

I fear for the people of Washington, DC. They’re going to have a tough time unless Pirro really screws up publicly and has to be removed. That’s always a possibility.

This is a travesty.

Legendary Rock Band The Who Announces North American Farewell Tour, But I Won’t Get Fooled Again

0

How many times have I attended farewell shows from The Who?

Many. As many as going to see Bernie Williams retire from the Yankees and return in the spring.

I won’t get fooled again.

The Who — really now just Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey — have announced their actual farewell tour in North America. The tour is heavily booked in New York and Los Angeles. The final show is in Las Vegas on September 28th.

Is it really ever over, though? When Keith Moon died, they said that was it. Then John Entwhistle. Thirty years ago, Zak Starkey — Ringo Starr’s son — stepped in as drummer. He recently had a public spat with Roger and Pete, but all is well now.

The Who’s hitmaking ended in 1981 with “You Better You Bet.” They’ve released some new music over the last 40 years, but radio changed so much that The Who became classic rock. Radio didn’t care about new material from any of the acts that gave them playlists.

The tour is called “The Song Is Over,” but The Who are forever.

Need to bone up? “Live at Leeds” is considered the greatest live album of all time. “Tommy” is a masterpiece. “Who’s Next” is their classic recording. The 60’s hits like “My Generation” are the foundation of classic rock.

If this it, I will really miss them.

He turned to the ladies on The View and joked Will you help me?
