Randy Jackson Tweets: “They Are Trying to Take My Mother’s Life”

3

Randy Jackson has just Tweeted this message to his followers. He doesn’t seem to understand what’s going on.The war is over. He lost. I don’t understand why Randy didn’t challenge Michael’s will within the six allotted months in 2009, before the statute of limitations ran. It’s too late now. The court accepted the will dated July 7. 2002. And still the sad but fascinating truth is that Randy, Jermaine, Janet, and Rebbie have no interest in these children. It’s just about the money.

But this is what he thinks and asserts:

1) When TJ asked my mother if he should ask for temporary guardianship, my Mother told TJ NO – twice.

2) The Estate denied Rebbie, Janet and Jermaine access to the house when they returned to home to Calabasas with a letter written by Howard Weitzman, attorney for the Estate, who is not a resident of the home.

3) The Estate is trying to isolate my Mother from her family JUST LIKE THEY DID TO MICHAEL, in order to propagate their lies, financial agendas and to protect a fraudulent will.

4) The same people that are trying to manipulate my mother are the same people that were involved with my brother when he died.

5) In order to obtain temporary guardianship, TJ lied to the court. Rebbie, Janet, Jermaine and I would never harm our mother and we are doing our best to protect her and the Estate knows that. I want to know why Perry Sanders would consider a negotiation based on lies.

6) It is clear that anyone who stands up against the Executors of the Estate – John Branca, John McClain and their attorney Howard Weitzman – is denied access to my mother.

7) It is my fear and belief, that they are trying to take my mother’s life.

Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Susan Sarandon in “Cloud Atlas” Five Minute Trailer–Oscar Time

0

The Wachowskis–now a brother and sister–have released a five minute trailer for “Cloud Atlas.” Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, and Susan Sarandon star in what looks like a sensational movie. You can see the directors’ intro with Tom Twyker here–http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2qeFxgGpM0 and view the trailer in the video player at the bottom of our home page. If the movie is as good as this trailer, “Cloud Atlas” is headed for awards season. It looks very promising.

Katherine Jackson Will Let Grandson TJ Be the Permanent Co-Guardian of Michael’s Kids

0

It’s a big win for Michael Jackson’s kids. Their grandmother, Katherine, has agreed to let her grandson, TJ, be the co guardian of Paris, Prince and Blanket. It’s a loss for the Randy-Jermaine-Janet-Rebbie group that spirited Mrs. Jackson to Arizona, released the letter about overturning Michael’s executors, and frightened the kids with thoughts that Mrs. Jackson is or was will. Now at 82 she doesn’t have to deal with day to day problems. A lot of responsibility has been placed on the shoulders of 34 year old TJ. Isn’t it interesting that not one of Michael Jackson’s many siblings ever stepped forward to be a parent to those kids, or to be there as a successor guardian? After what they’ve done, it’s unlikely the kids will ever speak to them again.

Statement from Perry Sanders, attorney for Katherine Jackson:

Later this morning, T J Jackson’s attorney, Charles Shultz, will be filing a petition for TJ to be appointed permanent guardian of Michael Jackson’s three children. The court ordered that this petition be filed pursuant to the temporary guardianship he granted TJ on Wednesday of this week. However, after a very productive meeting yesterday, first between Mrs. Jackson and me, and then joined by Prince Jackson, TJ Jackson and Mr. Shultz, it was agreed by all that it is in the best interest of Mrs. Jackson and the children to file a modified joint pleading at the beginning of next week.

With some changes, that pleading will essentially now legally reflect how Mrs. Jackson and TJ have often shared responsibilites of raising the children since Michael Jackson’s tragic passing. Following reaching agreement, Margaret Lodise, the court appointed guardian ad litem for the children, was brought into the meeting by conference call. Ms. Lodise confirmed with Prince that the agreement reflected the wishes of all the children. The joint filing will request that the court reinstate Mrs. Jackson and appoint TJ as a co-guardian of Michael’s children. If the court grants this joint request, it will eliminate concerns such as the ones triggered by the events of the last few days. It will also empower TJ to take joint legal responsibility for certain day to day duties such as the management of household personnel, including security. It will also make clear for school personnel and anyone else coming into contact with the children that TJ is authorized to act on their behalf.

TJ has frequently attended school conferences and dealt with school related matters and this agreement, if approved by the court, allows for continuity as sanctioned by the court . Mrs. Jackson will then be freed upto focus on the more personal everyday decision making related to the lives and activities of the children. She would also remain in control of the children’s family allowance.

Mrs. Jackson is extremely pleased with the prospect of enjoying the pleasure of raising Michael’s children without the day to day tedium of items such as managing the large staff that goes with such a high profile family and focus her attention on being a grandmother and raising Michael’s children. She greatly appreciates the recent love and concern that supporters have shown for her and the kids, and she hopes the court will grant this request for co-guardianship. She is eager to simply enjoy her great relationship with these children, while deeding over some of the stressors that go hand in hand with being a guardian.

Once the joint filing is made next week, it will be served on all interested parties and the specifics of what is being requested will be spelled out in the public record. Until then, no further official comment about guardianship will be made .

Summer Scandals Gone Wild: TomKat, the Jacksons, Twilight–What Next?

0

Wow! It’s only July 27th, summer is at its midpoint, and we’ve had enough scandals for several summers. Katie Holmes escaped from Tom Cruise and got a divorce in 11 days. The Jackson family conducted a public civil war over Michael’s estate. Paris Jackson, a 14 year old, emerged as the great communicator of 2012 on Twitter.

The so-called actors from the “Twilight”movies–who go by KStew and RPat in the tabs–are now embroiled in a cheating scandal involving her director from “Snow White–it’s so Natalie Wood and Robert Wagner circa 1965. Let’s not forget Ann Curry getting tossed from the Today show, and Fred Willard tossing himself in a porn theater. There’s always the “American Idol” judging contest, Madonna getting booed in Paris last night, and Justin Bieber’s diminishing career.

We know what’s really important. Forget about banking scandals ar Barclays and JP Morgan, or Mitt Romney acting like an uninformed hick in London, the ultimate ugly American. Or the fact that the Olympics committee won’t do anything to honor the 4oth anniversary of the 1972 killing of the Israeli team in Munich. Or yes, the economy, the real fact that so many people lack healthcare, and that A Rod has gone on the disabled list with Andy Pettitte and Mariano Rivera. Or that the National League trounced the American.

And what the heck is Libor?

What will happen next? Stay tuned…

Will Ferrell: Making “Anchorman 2 and 3 Back to Back in New Zealand”

0

Will Ferrell is a funny guy, in a good way. I loved his “Stranger than Fiction.” And “The Other Ones” is worth a second viewing. It’s hilarious. Now he’s in Jay Roach’s “The Campaign,” opening next week, with Zach Galifinakis. Jay Roach, who directed “Game Change” for HBO and “Dinner for Schmucks” and “Austin Powers” combines his political and comedy backgrounds to make this satire. When I asked Will this week at the Svedka-sponsored tastemakers screening thrown by Peggy Siegal, what he was doing next, he replied drolly: “We’re making Anchorman 2 and 3 back to back in New Zealand.” Ouch! Peter Jackson got a little “zetz” there.

Meanwhile, one star was missing from the “Campaign” premiere: Jason Sudeikis, who’s off shooting a film. I told you last fall–almost a year ago — that Sudeikis would be leaving “Saturday Night Live” along with Kristen Wiig and Andy Samberg. He’s got films now–two more actually ready to make after finishing “We’re the Millers.” I’m told Sudeikis will make appearances on “SNL” through the election, and then formally split. They need him to play Mitt Romney.

But a lot of other “SNL” people were at the party, and “Mad Men” star Jon Hamm, flying solo, looking scruffy and un-Don Draper like, hung out with them. Hamm will be up at Vassar College this weekend where his long time partner, Jennifer Westfeldt, is starring in a play. He’s also shooting–as I announced here exclusively–Larry David’s improvisational movie, a sort of big screen “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” I did not ask him if Don Draper picked up those girls in the bar in the last scene of “Mad Men.”

Also at the party: “Moneyball” director Bennett Miller, who’s about to start “Foxcatcher” — “in eleven weeks,” he said. Steve Carell stars, and Miller showed us some pictures of his makeup tries on his iPhone. Pretty impressive. Jay Roach and his “Game Change” writer Danny Strong came to say hello, and the table was rounded out by writer Lynn Hirschberg and Peggy Siegal.

PS Did you know that Jay Roach is very, very lucky? He’s been married for a long time to Susanna Hoffs of the Bangles. She’s hot, let’s face it. And she has new, terrific album out. She’s also on tour this summer with the Bangles. Check out her website, www.susannahoffs.com

Tom Cruise Moving to NYC: What Did Katie Have on Him?

1

Tom Cruise is house hunting in the New York suburbs. Or rather, mansion and estate hunting, according to both tabloids. He’s got Bedford, NY and Greenwich, CT to comb through–that’s where the celebs live. Ron Howard, who directed him “Far and Away,” is a long time Greenwich resident. “ER” star Anthony Edwards is up there, too. But Tom lives in California. His whole family is there, especially his mother, who he dragged away from her life and husband in Florida in 2006 to come be Suri’s nanny and Katie Holmes’s watchdog. Plus, the New York area isn’t really Scientology-friendly. They’re around, but New Yorkers don’t have much interest in them. That’s a Hollywood thing, where people have a lot of time on their hands. We’re too busy.

In most divorce cases, it’s almost impossible for one spouse to up and move to another city. Forget about 2000 miles away. I know very wealthy people who’ve remarried and couldn’t move their kids from, say, Chicago to New York because the other parent was still in the Windy City. Cruise already owns a very large apartment on East 13th St. There’s also a rumor that he and Katie bought a big ol’ townhouse on West 12th St. about three years ago. Moving to a suburban estate means a full time staff and security. He’s got the money, but still…In this divorce, Holmes got her way. With nary a word of discussion or argument she’s managed to bring Cruise all the way to New York and disrupt his life.

If you were a cynic you might ask, What the heck does she have on him? It must be pretty good. Otherwise, he could certainly have argued that as an actress, Holmes–who lived and work in L.A. for years–could find gainful employment on the west coast. And what about the their home in Montecito, California, the Bedford Hills of Santa Barbara. Tom already has a huge estate. Realtors out there must be chomping at the bit to get their hands on that listing.

And one thing Tom might not get quite yet. In Los Angeles, stars can live their lives in peace if they just stay away from hot spots. Yes, there’s intrusive paparazzi, but only if you’re looking for them. New York is a tabloid town, where people eat and live cheek by jowl. You will be seen, even if you’re Jackie O or Greta Garbo. Good luck living in peace.

Lawyer: Katherine Jackson “Laughed” At Report of Stroke

3

Perry Sanders, Katherine Jackson’s lawyer, met with her today. “I am pleased to report that she is fine, and she laughed at the widely publicized report that she had suffered a stroke.” Sanders said their meeting was “long and productive.” Well, that’s good news. But the news of her “stroke” came from a letter signed by five of her children–Randy, Jermaine, Janet, Rebbie and Tito. The latter later recanted. But the others have stuck to that story. The so called “mini-stroke” that was in the letter from those adult children to Michael Jackson’s executors was widely distributed right after Mrs. Jackson was hurried away to Miraval Spa in Tucson.  When her grandchildren saw the letter, they freaked out because they knew no stroke had occurred. And that’s how the chain of events was initiated, with a frightened 14 year old girl demanding to see her grandmother–and calling her uncle Randy a “liar.” Now Mrs. Jackson has lost her guardianship, and Janet Jackson has done ridiculous things in public to harm her image of being “normal.”

Madonna (Remember Her?) Does YouTube Show For Smallish Audience

0

It’s hard to say how many people watched Madonna’s live YouTube show from Paris. Right now, at 8:45pm, there are only 6,000 people logged in. I think that means around the world. The announcement of the broadcast did bring in 100,000 people. The show played Live in New York at 4:15pm, and 1:15pm in Los Angeles–not prime time. It could be that 337,000 people were watching around the world during the first cycle.

Now, when people are home on both coasts, it doesn’t seem like it’s getting much attraction. The video is below in our video player. The music sounds mostly pre-recorded. And Madonna points a gun at the audience in her James Bond segment. The show cuts out around 45 minutes (I guess Madonna went on to play to the audience at the Olympia Theater at that point). But everyone sounds like they’re having fun, Madonna has banked millions from the tour, and Yankee Stadium is still a month away.

There are now about 4,600 people sitting in front of nothing, waiting for the loop to start again. They are the hard core fans. Meantime, Marshall Crenshaw is playing to 300 devoted fans down at City Winery despite tornado warnings. He’s singing and playing Live. Tomorrow night, Ronnie Spector will be there playing to a full, full house.

Paris Jackson to Brother Prince’s Rescue: “We Were Hacked”

1

Paris Jackson has just confirmed that her brother Prince–Michael Jr.’s–Tweet from last night was removed against his will. She says they were hacked. “the thing my brother tweeted last night was the last true thing he tweeted.. he was hacked saying what we tweeted was false..” Paris adds “prince will repost the image of the text”–which he’s done–and–“if you continue with your lies , i will continue with the truth” prince wanted me to tell you guys that okay . please know its US tweeting.”

Can you imagine these kids, in that rambling large estate, at war with various people coming and going? They were up until the middle of the night. Somehow, after they finally went to sleep, Prince’s message was removed from Twitter. Now, it’s back. But it’s probably time Prince and Paris spoke directly to Judge Mitchell Beckloff and told him what’s going on. They’re bright, articulate kids. Michael Jackson did a great job with them. He’s no doubt proud that they’re standing up for themselves.

Jackson Update: Prince Signs His Tweet Michael Jackson, Jr.

1

UPDATE: It must be pretty lively in the Jackson house. Prince’s Tweet has been restored along with the picture of Janet’s text message. The entire tweet runs below, and now Prince asks that it be re-Tweeted so it doesn’t get lost again. He’s also signed it “Michael Jackson, Jr.,” as his mother Debbie Rowe intended. After this post, that’s how we’ll refer to him.

Prince Jackson’s amazing Tweet was deleted from his Twitter page today. But we still have it. A source tells me that Janet, Randy and Jermaine were on a conference call with their mother this morning that went on for three hours. “They were furious,” my source says. Now the posting is down, but it’s clear that Janet was the one who prevented the kids from speaking with their grandmother while she was away. Currently at the house are the kids, Mrs. Jackson, and her grandchildren TJ–the new guardian–and Terrell, his brother. Also speaking with Mrs. Jackson this afternoon is Marlon, who may be able to talk some sense into her. Meanwhile. I’m told La Toya Jackson’s silence is the result of a huge fight with Jermaine. Apparently he bad mouthed her to Prince to the point that she’s been in tears. “She’s afraid of Jermaine now,” my source says.

Prince’s post is here: www.twitlonger.com/show/ihrprh

“I would first like to start off this tweet by thanking the fans that have always stood by me and my family, my dad really appreciated your support and I still treasure it to this day. As I am sure everyone is well aware of the events that have been going on. I have not been backing up my sister and her tweets avidly because I was waiting for the time to reveal my side. As long as I can remember my dad had repeatedly warned me of certain people and their ways. Although I am happy my grandma was returned, after speaking with her I realized how misguided and how badly she was lied to. I’m really angry and hurt. The following image is of a group chat I had started to several family members. This group text message I had initially sent was replied to but they didn’t know that I could see the responses. For this whole time, we were denied contact to our grandmother. “If you continue with your lies I will continue with the truth”

-Michael Jackson Jr.
please RT this so it doesn’t leave twitter as well as the attached image

More importantly, Prince and Paris now know exactly what their father was talking about when it came to his family. In case you missed it, here’s the infamous text message from Janet that accidentally went to Prince’s phone:
