Kanye West Is Back on Twitter, Here’s Where We Left Off in Dec 22: He Claimed Ex Wife Had an Affair with Billionaire’s Son, or NBA Player

0

Kanye West is back on Twitter.

Elton Musk has reinstated his account despite the rapper being an avowed antisemite and all around bad guy. I guess Musk thinks West’s outrageous posts will bring in eyes, and money, to the site.

He’s wrong,, of course. Once Kanye ramps up, more X users will flock to Threads and just leave in exasperation and horror.

But where were we when West was tossed off Twitter last December?

His final Tweet accused ex Kim Karadashian of cheating with someone, either NBA star Chris Paul or Paul Dalio, son of billionaire Ray Dalio. It was unclear. Maybe it was both of them. Who knows?

Here’s the story from months ago.

Since then, by the way, Kanye married someone, Kim broke up with Pete Davidson and was eyeing Tom Brady, and the world has moved on. With West’s businesses all gone, and his music career halted, what will he do next? Run as Robert Kennedy Jr’s vice president?

“Barbie” Has Biggest Second Weekend in Warner Bros History, Total So Far for Two Weeks at $351 Million. “Oppenheimer” Explosive

0

Throw another weekend on the “barbee” as they say somewhere.

“Barbie,” the movie that won’t quit, made $93 million this weekend, bringing the total to $351 million in just two weeks.

That’s the biggest second weekend in Warner Bros’ history. And that includes all the Harry Potter movies, Batman extravaganzas, and “The Flash.”

The top locations for “Barbie” are, appropriately, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and San Francisco. It’s all the top urban markets. “Barbie” is not a huge hit in the red states, But is that a surprise? Barbie lives in Malibu, not Lincoln, Nebraska!

“Barbie” made approximately twice the amount of “Oppenheimer,” which has been the formula so far. But “Oppenheimer” has a total of $174 million in two weeks, which is dazzling considering the subject matter and length of a serious film that has crossed into the mainstream.

Elon Musk Says Despite Everything He Will Keep His Company (Whatever It’s Called) in San Francisco

Elon Musk finally posted something positive on Twitter X. He says despite everything, he’s staying loyal to San Francisco, and keep his heart there.

There were rumors that Musk would move his company to Texas. But he’s emphatic about sticking it out even though “the city is in a doom spiral.”

That does not mean you have to buy one of his weird looking electric trucks.

Real Life Soap Opera: “Days of our Lives” Goes on 1 Week Break To Sort out Claims Against Executive Producer — Fans Want Him Out

0

“Days of our Lives,” the 58 year old soap, has gone on a one week break, which is very unusual.

But the Ken Corday produced show, in conjunction with Sony TV, has to sort out the saga of EP of Albert Alarr.

The show’s longtime EP has been accused of creating a toxic atmosphere backstage, with accusations of bullying and touching or groping actresses.

Alarr may be the reason actresses seem to come and go on the show almost without logic. There have been dozens of complaints about him that insiders say Corday has ignored over the years.

In a recent deleted post Lisa Rinna, outspoken as ever, complained about her recent return for a short run.

The older veteran actors on “Days” are exempt from Alarr’s behavior. It’s the young actresses who’ve had to put up with it.

Fans of “Days,” which NBC airs on Peacock now, are clear about how they feel: they want Alarr out ASAP. On Twitter, they can’t believe he hasn’t already been fired.

Missing a week of shooting on a daily soap is a big deal. Maybe when the break is over, Alarr will be, too. Stay tuned…

Grimes (Performer, Philosopher, Elon Musk Baby Mama) Says in Video the Chess Community Has Overcome A.I.

0

Grimes (Claire Elise Boucher) is a thoughtful performer. She’s also the mother of Elon Musk’s two younger children.

She has some thoughts on how the chess community dealt with artificial intelligence. It’s worth a listen.

Grimes is an active poster on Instagram. A few weeks ago on Twitter, now X, she posted a message about how she’d been severely disappointed by someone close to her. It was removed soon after.

Oddly her chess video is not embeddable, at this point. You can see it on her Instagram page at https://www.instagram.com/p/CvRMSL0KDcb/

That’s the way to recover fast!

Friday Box Office: “Barbenheimer” Keeps Rolling with Big Numbers for Both Movies, “Barbie” with Stunning $90 Mil 2nd Weekend

0

keep refreshing…

Barbenheimer continues to draw big audiences on its second weekend.

Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie” took in $29 million just last night. In one night. its second Friday! “Barbie” could pull off a staggering $90 million weekend. What a doll!

Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer” made $13.4 million at the same time.

The way it’s been running so far, “Oppy” makes about half of the “Barbie” haul every day. And that isn’t bad!

“Barbie” is off by 59% from last Friday, but with these high numbers that’s to be expected.

Pop Chart: “Barbie” Soundtrack Debuts at Number 2, Loses Top Spot to Korean Girl Group New Jeans

0

This is tough stuff.

The soundtrack to movie powerhouse “Barbie” did not arrive at number 1 this week, according to hitsdailydouble.com.

“Barbie” finished second, coming in behind a Korean KPop girl group called New Jeans. Their album is inelegantly titled “2nd EP Get Up.”

The “Barbie” soundtrack has spawned a lot of singles on the iTumes Top 100, but so far none have caught on in a big way. The only one close to a hit is Dua Lipa’s “Dance the Night,” which was released on May 27th and has been in and out of the top 10.

Meantime, Billie Eilish, Lizzo, and Nicki Minaj have tracks that are floating around the charts but not breaking through big time. Ryan Gosling’s “I’m Just Ken” had a brief boost but has fallen to number 70.

Strike Causes Sony Pictures to Move Projected 2023 Hits Like “Ghostbusters” to 2024, New Ethan Coen Release Also Delayed

0

I told you a couple of weeks ago that the studios were starting to move their releases to 2024.

It’s all because of the SAG and WGA strikes. Instead of negotiating to end this thing, the studio heads are just moving the deck chairs on the Titanic.

Now Sony Pictures is delaying its potential 2023 fall hits to 2024. That includes the new “Ghostbusters” movie from its planned launch on December 20th to Easter 2024. That move pushes the next SpiderVerse movie to who knows when? The film still needs voice actors to work, and they can’t because of the strike.

Another 2023 release, “Kraven the Hunter,” from Sony/ Marvel will now wait til next summer for release. It was set to go on October 6th.

Little by little the fall schedule is being dismantled, which will have a serious effect on the Oscars and other awards shows. Martin Scorsese’s “Killers of the Flower Moon” will be released on October 6th, although so far no festival screenings have been announced. Scorsese films have often been the “surprise” screening at the New York Film Festival, and that may be the case again.

But with movies like Ethan Coen’s “Drive Away Dolls” now being moved by Focus Features to 2024, the number of possible nominees for Best Picture is shrinking. “Killers,” “Oppenheimer,” and “Air” were already certain. Now “Barbie” picks up speed with little competition. Stay tuned for more announcements of delayed premieres as the strikes prevent actors from promoting their films.
