Trump Media Stock Falls Below 20 Bucks in Continuous Drop Following Arlington Cemetery Altercation, Re-indictment

0
Donald Trump’s Trump Media stock broke the $20 mark this morning, falling below that crucial marker. Trump is now involved in having had an altercation at Arlington National Cemetery where his staff got into a fight with their during a wreath laying event. Trump was also re-indicted by Special Prosecutor Jack Smith yesterday. Meanwhile, Kamala Harris’s campaign is soaring. Keep refreshing…

Barron Trump May Be Going to Cornell’s Dyson School: Named for GOP Super Donor, Donald Trump-Rudy Giuliani Crony

0

EXCLUSIVE Almost all college students are on campus for the fall session this week.

But one is missing: Barron Trump. The 18 year old has yet to turn up anywhere. A lot of people are asking questions. It’s hard to hide a 6 foot 7 inch young man and his Secret Service attachment.

The strong betting is on Cornell University in upstate Ithaca, New York. This is an excellent spot to stash someone you want to get out of the way. Unless students sell him out, Barron would be safe from much scrutiny in Ithaca. If he were to go to school in Manhattan, however, it would be a press free-for-all.

Why Cornell especially? The word on social media is that Barron would go to the Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management.

According to the Cornell website “Today,” the Dyson School is internationally renowned for its expertise in food and agricultural economics, management, environmental and resource economics, and international and development economics.”

It’s not an actual school, but a part of the  Cornell SC Johnson College of Business. It was born with a $25 million donation from John Dyson (class of 1965) in 2010, who named it in honor of his father.

Dyson, a rabid Republican, is former chairman of the New York Power Authority. How devoted is he to the GOP? This year alone Dyson — who also owns a winery — has donated $500,000 to the Senate Leadership Fund PAC, a Republican super fund. John Dyson named the school after his late father, Charles, who donated $5,000 to Cornell in 1962 to get him started.

Dyson has donated millions to Republican causes and candidates. On December 29, 2020 he gave $350,000 to the Georgia Victory Fund, which pushed the Big Lie about voting in that state, and supported then Senator Kelly Loeffler. She lost to now-Senator, Democrat Raphael Warnock in 2021. On December 9, 2020– three weeks before Dyson’s massive donation — Loeffler refused in her debate with Warnock to admit Donald Trump had lost the election.

Dyson is now chairman of Millbrook Capital Management. But he’s also a crony of Rudy Giuliani. From 1994 to 1996 he was one of Rudy’s deputy mayors. From 1996 to 2002, Dyson held a part-time position of Chairman of the Mayor’s Council of Economic Advisors.

During his short time as deputy mayor, Dyson got into trouble in The Bond Buyer– according to the New York Times — for using the word “watermelon” in discussing whether to hire a company owned by a black woman to market New York City’s bonds. He said, the city’s Comptroller “ought to know the difference between a bid and a watermelon.”

Dyson, of course, apologized the next day.His critics were skeptical. He said: “If someone takes this as a racial comment, I’m sorry for that. I apologize for anybody who felt that. I think my record of 20 years in public life shows that I’m not racially motivated one way or the other.”

But according to the Times, earlier in 1994, Dyson got into trouble from a memo he’d written to Rudy and Deputy Mayor Peter J. Powers after a newspaper article asked whether they were capable of running a diverse city. “Do not worry,” he wrote. “Two white guys have been running this city of immigrants for over 200 years.”

Who better to make sure Barron is protected and isolated from controversy during his college years than John Dyson? Barron, get your number 2 pencils and three hole punch ready. Cornell is waiting.

Hamptons: Vance Arrives with 30 Vehicle Parade, Emhoff and Clinton Quietly Raise $1.5 Million

0

Every politician wants Hamptons money.

Not from the celebrities, but from the Wall Street gang and old money crowd.

On Sunday, I got a call from people leaving the Hamptons that a gigantic cavalcade of black cars, helicopters, motorcycles and and even a helicopter were causing a scene coming into Southampton on Route 27.

That was blowhard JD Vance, making a spectacle of himself heading into a fundraiser thrown by Woody Johnson, owner of the New York Jets.

“You can’t believe what’s going on here,” my friends said. “Thirty cars! Everything is stopped!”

Meanwhile, very subtly, soon to be First Gentleman Doug Emhoff and former President William Jefferson Clinton were welcomed to a private estate in Sag Harbor last night.

Spies tell me Emhoff and Clinton made for a fun tag team, taking pictures with lots of well heeled locals after making erudite speeches. Emhoff called his wife, Kamala Harris, “a joyful warrior.” Clinton joked that he’d much prefer to be First Gentleman than President.

Hillary Clinton, who was on the invitation, demurred after testing positive with COVID.

Organizers expected to net $750,000. They wound up taking in twice as much, $1.5 million.

No celebrities, per se. But Clinton’s small team included Hillary’s chief, Huma Abedin. “She was a like a ghost,” said a source. “But she was watching.”

Emhoff is getting high marks on the road, charming audiences. The other candidate’s spouse, Melania Trump, is even more of a cypher however. She may be packing up Barron’s trunk for his college stay, which most now say is Cornell University in upstate Ithaca. He has to be stashed somewhere. More to come… Look for Melania to be a regular visitor in Ithaca!

Not a Shock: “Yellowstone” Will Continue Without Kevin Costner, Rest of the Cast Will Remain

0

Kevin Costner really blew it.

He thought “Yellowstone” would die without his character as he went off to make his “Horizon” movies.

I wrote here a long time ago that “Yellowstone” could go on without him. Now Puck newsletter also confirms that Taylor Sheridan’s hit cowboy drama will go on.

Meantime, “Horizon” is a total dud. Warner Bros. will probably stream the second movie after the first one tanked. There’s no deal for the third and fourth parts, which no one wants anyway.

I’m told Costner’s John Dutton will get get killed, and there will be a murder mystery for the next season.

This makes sense. Dutton was a villain, so everyone will be a suspect. Sheridan will likely introduce a new character, played by a star, who will come to take Costner’s place as the Hollywood draw.

“Yellowstone” is a brand with millions of viewers. Paramount and Sheridan weren’t going to just shut it down after all that investment of time, money, marketing. Will it pick up steam again? Absolutely. Soap ensembles work like that.

Costner overplayed his hand. Live and learn!

Kelly Monaco Ousted from “General Hospital” After 21 Years as Soap Tries to Recover Ratings

0

If an actor has been on a soap for 20 years, it’s a big deal.

Kelly Monaco has played Sam McCall for 21 years on “General Hospital.” She’s enormously popular with fans, and has around 590,000 followers on social media. She’s been nominated twice for Daytime Emmy awards.

But news broke yesterday that Monaco has been let go. Her character will be killed off this fall. Fans are outraged, and it does seem pretty mean of ABC.

“General Hospital” is suffering in ratings, though, and budgets are down. A lot of the cast is off contract, appearing at the whim of the producers. The permanent cast is taking on some big ticket favorites from the past, so someone had to go. And Monaco lost the bet.

The two other broadcast soaps, “The Young and the Restless” and “Bold and the Beautiful” on CBS are on equally shaky ground as network TV contracts. “Days of our Lives” on Peacock costs very little (and it looks like it) but chugs along. The cast there has no doubt taken pay cuts as well.

Monaco will no doubt turn up somewhere else soon. But the sting for “General Hospital” fans will last a long time.

UPDATE MONDAY Noon: Trump Media Stock Drops to 20 Bucks, Keeps Falling, Hits 52 Week Low as Investors, Followers Jump Sinking Ship

0

MONDAY UPDATE 12:25 PM

Truth Social keeps dropping, falls to $20.99. We’ll see how low it can go today…

When you wake up Tuesday morning, Donald Trump’s Truth Social stock will be in free fall.

Yesterday, Trump Media closed at its 52 week low, at $21.66. It was down from Friday by almost 5%.

Trump Media stock is kind of a bellwether about the presidential campaign. But instead of indicating a growing popularity. the stock price is showing the incursion Kamala Harris is making into Trump’s run.

Will it fall more today? Trump Media usually gets knocked off a cliff, then plateaus for a few days before its next trip downward.

Maybe Trump’s possible call off of the September 10th debate with Harris caused the drop. Or maybe it’s just because Truth Social is a sewage that even Ed Norton of “The Honeymooners” wouldn’t work in.

Trump Signals on Social Media He Wants Out of September 10th Debate

0

Donald Trump is so scared of debating Kamala Harris he’s looking for any way to get out of it.

He’s posted to his Truth Social that he might not show up on ABC on September 10th. Maybe Kamala can talk to a cardboard cut out.

Trump writes: “I watched ABC FAKE NEWS this morning, both lightweight reporter Jonathan Carl’s(K?) ridiculous and biased interview of Tom Cotton (who was fantastic!), and their so-called Panel of Trump Haters, and I ask, why would I do the Debate against Kamala Harris on that network? Will panelist Donna Brazil give the questions to the Marxist Candidate like she did for Crooked Hillary Clinton? Will Kamala’s best friend, who heads up ABC, do likewise. Where is Liddle’ George Slopadopolus hanging out now? Will he be involved. They’ve got a lot of questions to answer!!! Why did Harris turn down Fox, NBC, CBS, and even CNN? Stay tuned!!!”

He’s panicking. The flop sweat is running down his spray tanned cheeks. Very sad. He has no idea what the issues are, it’s too late to study, and he’s completely unprepared. All he has are stupid childish nicknames for everyone involved. He’s going to get an F, and his father can’t bail him out.

Kennedy Daughter-in-Law, aka His Campaign Manager, Can’t Get a Donation from Hardcore Democratic Billionaire Parents (Exclusive)

Robert Kennedy Jr’s campaign manager’s family would have been a great source of money for the conspiracy theorist candidate.

The campaign manager, Amaryllis Fox Kennedy, is also married to Kennedy’s son, Robert III. She’s a former CIA agent, and author of a book about her adventures in the organization.

You’d think she could convince her mother and stepfather to throw in a few bucks. It would be a likely ask since Amaryllis’s stepdad is billionaire Steven Rales.

Rales is worth $8.6 billion, according to reports. He’s the chairman of Danaher Corporation, which he founded with his brother, Mitchell. On the entertainment side, Rales also founded movie production company Indian Paintbrush, which releases high quality films like all of Wes Anderson’s movies since 2007. He recently bought Janus Films and the Criterion Collection.

But here’s the rub: Rales is also a hardcore Democratic donor. Kennedy is the last person to whom he’d made a political donation, and he’s made plenty, Recipients of his largesse include Maine’s Dem senator Angus King, the Democatic Party of Ohio, and Tim Ryan of Ohio, who lost his Senate seat to J.D. Vance.

Amaryllis’s mother, Lalage Rales, is also an active Democratic donor. She’s given to Virginia Senator Mark Warner, the America 2.0 PAC for Democrats, also Tim Ryan and several others. Both Raleses donated to Liz Cheney, one of the most outspoken Trump critics.

The Raleses sound pretty smart, and principled Thank goodness they aren’t Republicans, Kennedy would still be running for president. If he does become Trump’s running mate, don’t expect Kennedy to tap that source.

People Magazine All-in With JLo Team Spinning Ben Affleck as “Moody” and “In Control” of Her Documentary

LOL.

People magazine should really separate their JLo Is the Victim stories by a day, maybe two.

But today they’ve got two up on their homepage, and according to them, Ben Affleck is the Devil.

In one story, unnamed sources claim Ben’s “mood changes” were too much for Lopez, contributing to the couple’s break up.

Then, in an even better bit of spun gold, Affleck had “total control” of Lopez’s failed documentary, “The Greatest Love Story Never Told.” Suddenly it’s his fault the doc tanked, and that’s what caused the mega famous couple to call it quits.

People is in the grip of publicists, and I know who they are. But any quote on this subject is a good one for People, even if it’s just the publicist giving it.

Lopez is obviously in big spin here. She lost the lost in this debacle. Her album and her film were duds, and her concert tour was cancelled for lack of ticket sales. Affleck, meantime, did very well with his “Air” movie, and his film career continues to be successful.

No one knows what happens in a marriage, so you can’t blame anyone. But Lopez loves attention. She can’t stop posting selfies and paparazzi — mostly tipped by her — so she stays in the public eye. Even today she’s promoting new pictures on Instagram. There’s never a respite. She’s in Europe, in the Hamptons, in Manhattan, back in LA. We know more about where Lopez is every day than we do our own families!

The slow weekend news is that Ben was seen having lunch with Robert Kennedy Jr’s daughter, Kick, at the Polo Lounge in the Beverly Hills Hotel. That place is a vault of secrecy, so someone called it in. I wonder who? It’s more than likely that the lunch partners were bonding over AA, not having a tryst in public. Affleck — a dyed in the wool liberal — certainly has no interest in Kennedy’s father, who just endorsed Trump.

What happened to People magazine? Since being jettisoned from Time Inc they’ve really gone the way of US Magazine. The original editors are rolling in their graves.

Kennedy Brother Joins Family Chorus Denouncing His Trump Endorsement: “Ignore Bobby, It’s What’s Best for Our Country”

0

Yesterday, Robert Kennedy Jr’s siblings denounced his endorsement of Donald Trump including Kerry, Rory, Chris, and Kathleen Kennedy Townsend.

Today, brother Max Kennedy writes in the LA Times: “Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine I would be motivated to write something of this nature. With a heavy heart, I am today asking my fellow Americans to do what will honor our father the most: Ignore Bobby and support Vice President Kamala Harris and the Democratic platform. It’s what is best for our country.”

I noticed yesterday a lot of people asked why the Kennedys are so outraged that they would publicly do this to their sibling. The answer is simple: their father, Senator Robert F. Kennedy, gave his life for this country. He was assassinated for speaking the truth about civil rights and the Vietnam War, among other issues. He stood for justice, as did his brother, President John F. Kennedy.

Was all it for nothing? If Donald Trump were elected, the United States as we know it would cease to function. He would finish the job he started in his unlawful and disgraceful first term. All civil rights would be abrogated. We’d be living in chaos, the chaos he insists is already going on. But it’s not. Joe Biden rescued us from the hell of Trump.

How galing it must be for the Kennedys to see what Junior has done. They are a family of Irish immigrants. Max writes:

“Donald Trump is a lifelong racist whose entire career has been shaped by his dislike of people with a different skin color.

“My father believed in expanding legal immigration because he came from an immigrant family and knew how much talent and drive hard-working families bring if we open our doors to them.

“Donald Trump stirs up hatred of immigrants, whom he mischaracterizes as criminals and drug addicts.”

You can read Max’s essay here.
