Lady Gaga was named as a nominee today for the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Her ultimate election is a surer thing than Tuesday’s Blue Wave!

Ms. Germanotta now has a catalog swelling with hits like “Bad Romance,” “Poker Face,” “Shallow,” and last year’s blockbuster “Die with a Smile.”

I’d say Abracadabra! She’s in!

Others likely to make the cut include Chris Stein and Debbie Harry from Blondie, the guys from America, Boy George, and Vince Gill.

Pink, and Sia, are great entries but it might be a little soon for them.

ZZ Top is also under consideration. So is Melvin Glover p/k/a Grandmaster Melle Mel, whose “The Message” is the rap anthem of all time!

One nomination package that might be problematic includes writers from the group WAR that sadly includes Jerry Goldstein. SHOF should not have included Goldstein with WAR, one of the best R&B groups of all time. Goldstein has spent decades in court making life miserable for the WAR guys, and for the late Sly Stewart from Sly and the Family Stone. Get rid of him!
