Josh Groban Out of the Running as Kelly CoHost
Exclusive: Singer Josh Groban is not in the running to be Kelly Ripa’s cohost. Insiders say he hasn’t been contacted at all despite his guest host stints. “He’s very busy with a new album and concert dates,” a source told me. With Groban off the big list, we’re down to Seth Meyers, Michael Strahan and Pat Kiernan as top contenders. Strahan may be coming up strong again. Even though he has to do Sundays on Fox for the NFL, he could still make it back in time for the Monday “Live” in New York. Also, last January, he put his L.A. house on the market. Did he sense something then? Strahan has been extremely popular with viewers, so we can’t count him out yet.
