So much hoopla around Britney Spears trying to end her father’s conservatorship.

Tonight, the judge ruled against Britney and for her father, Jamie. The conservatorship remains in place.

“The conservator’s request to suspend James P. Spears immediately upon the appointment of Bessemer Trust Company of California as sole conservator of estate is denied without prejudice,” the court documents state according t Variety.

Bessemer Trust Company will become a co-conservator with Jamie Spears when all the papers are filed. But Jamie’s still in charge.

There was certainly a great PR campaign mounted to show Britney as under her father’s; thumb, unable to make decisions. She claimed it was her father who wouldn’t let her remove a birth control device. “I want to have a baby,” Britney said in her 24 minute plea to the judge.

But whatever forgets is that Britney has two children already, with Kevin Federline. He has custody of them. She doesn’t. There’s a reason for that. She isn’t capable of running a household. She sees her boys just enough to have fun with them. But she’s not about do homework, run carpools and sporting events. Her kids are three and four years away from being 18, and going to college. They’re lucky to have a proper household at all.

And no one is “making” Britney work. She doesn’t ever have to work again and may not. It’s not like she had a great recording career. She hasn’t had a hit in almost 10 years.  There’s a reason for that. And she can’t tour, like a pop star around the world. She was barely able to handle a non-touring show in Las Vegas.

No one I read on social media ever says, “She’s lucky to have someone taking care of her.” The judge did, and made the right decision.
