When there’s smoke on the water for real, you know there’s trouble.

Sixties rockers Deep Purple are canceling shows because lead singer Ian Gillan has been hospitalized with a medical emergency.

Gillan is 81 years sold, and should be home sitting in a comfy leather club chair, not banging out his old hits. Speedy recovery, Ian!

Late 70s New Wave band Cheap Trick has announced they’re taking a break starting November 30th. They say it’s “not for health reasons,” but Robin Zander, only 73, has had trouble breathing, for real.

There is now a long list of classic rock and R&B stars who are worrying their fans. They love to tour, but if they don’t go home soon they’ll be playing their last gigs in the sky!

Showbiz411 is now in its 13th year of providing breaking and exclusive entertainment news. This is an independent site, unlike the many Hollywood trades that are owned by one company. To continue providing news that takes a fresh look at what's going on in movies, music, theater, etc, advertising is our basis. Reader donations would be greatly appreciated, too. They are just another facet of keeping fact based journalism alive.
