Is Bryan Singer uncancelled?

The director “X Men” movies and others has been the subject of pedophile accusations for a decade. Singer denies everything, but here’s a link to one report. There are many.

Singer has basically become a pariah in Hollywood, and mention of his name triggers a lot of displeasure.

Nevertheless, a social media post of his has caused a firestorm. Singer eulogized Sir Patrick Stewart, who passed away yesterday.

In itself, that would not be news. Singer can do whatever he wants. But Twitter readers of Deadline.com were shocked that the trade publication republished the post with the same gravitas as other Stewart mourners.

Is Deadline suggesting Singer is no long cancelled? It sure looks like it. See the Deadline post below followed by reactions. I’m sure the other celebrities whose memoriams Deadline quoted — like Ian McKellen, James McAvoy, and Jonathan Frakes — are all excited to be included with Singer.

Showbiz411 is now in its 13th year of providing breaking and exclusive entertainment news. This is an independent site, unlike the many Hollywood trades that are owned by one company. To continue providing news that takes a fresh look at what's going on in movies, music, theater, etc, advertising is our basis. Reader donations would be greatly appreciated, too.
