Box Office: “Kung Fu Panda 4” Topples “Dune Two” with $58 Million Opening Weekend

Share

Everybody was kung fu fighting this weekend.

Universal’s “Kung Fu Panda 4” scored a whopping $58 million opening weekend, the second highest so far of 2024.

“KFP” toppled “Dune Two” in its second weekend, and over took it easily. The kids have spoken.

Still cooking out there is “Bob Marley One Love” from Paramount heading to $90 million. That’s outstanding.

The rest of the box office is composed of films that are ready to go already. A new season is needed, and quickly. All the movies we’ll see on the Oscars tonight are done with their theatrical runs. Spring must come, and soon!

Showbiz411 is now in its 13th year of providing breaking and exclusive entertainment news. This is an independent site, unlike the many Hollywood trades that are owned by one company. To continue providing news that takes a fresh look at what's going on in movies, music, theater, etc, advertising is our basis. Reader donations would be greatly appreciated, too. They are just another facet of keeping fact based journalism alive.
