Miley Cyrus and her mom were very generous the other night.

According to hitsdailydouble.com, The Miley Cyrus Foundation gave a $1 million gift to that total in support of the HOME Campaign, which is currently constructing 97 new apartments at a housing development in Skid Row called Rosa’s Place.

The donation is certainly well-intentioned.

But Miley had better call her accountant fast.

Her foundation, which just changed its name, has no money in its till.

Miley’s org used to be called The Happy Hippie Foundation. Now it’s been switched over to the new, more obvious appellation.

Sadly, however, the Happy Hippie Foundation shows net assets of $7,079 in its 2024-25 ta filing.

To be fair, according to the filing, Miley divided $474K in donations among five organizations during that period. That left the Foundation deeply depleted.

Considering she doesn’t tour, and her last albums were in the red, Miley had better start looking at her numbers. She will make some money performing at the Hollywood Bowl this week, but she made need it to pay bills and eat.

Showbiz411 is now in its 13th year of providing breaking and exclusive entertainment news. This is an independent site, unlike the many Hollywood trades that are owned by one company. To continue providing news that takes a fresh look at what's going on in movies, music, theater, etc, advertising is our basis. Reader donations would be greatly appreciated, too. They are just another facet of keeping fact based journalism alive.
