Cannes Exclusive: Five More Films May Be Added Next Week Including Sean Penn in “Black Flies”

Share

Cannes watchers, wait for this Monday. I’m told grand poobah Thierry Fremaux will announce five additional films to his already bursting list of top notch selections.

My sources say one of them will likely be a film called “Black Flies” that features Sean enn and is directed by French filmmaker Jean-Stéphane Sauvaire.

Penn and Sauvaire each have long histories with Cannes, winning many awards apiece.

What else could join Cannes? Fans are hoping for “Barbie” or “Oppenheimer.” Then Fremaux would be riding on a parade float on the Croisette!
