Told Ya: Grammys Going to Las Vegas April 3rd But The Rest of Grammy Weekend Up in the Air

Share

The Grammys are going to Las Vegas. The Recording Acadmy and CBS have set April 3rd as the date. Trevor Noah is the host. The MGM Grand is the location.

But the rest of Grammy weekend is up in the air. Clive Davis’s annual gala and the Musicares Person of the Year dinner are in limbo.

That’s because both of those events must take place in Los Angeles. There’s no way to have them in Vegas. Davis’s crowd hails from LA, and they’re not making the trip to Vegas. Musicares is honoring Joni Mitchell, and she’s not traveling to Vegas no matter who honors her.

So the events will probably be broken up. Maybe we’ll get the Los Angeles events in May or June. But the Grammys must go on so we can get them over with.

Stay tuned for more details…
