“SNL” Emmy Nominee Kristen Wiig In Surprise Movie
It’s not listed on the imdb or anywhere else that I can tell. But Kristen Wiig is busy shooting a movie that’s not “Imogene,” the film she’s scheduled to start at the end of August with directors Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini. The film is called “Revenge for Jolly,” directed by shortfilm maker Chadd Harbold but more importantly starring and written by Wiig’s boyfriend Brian Petsos. Petsos and Oscar Isaac (also to be seen off Broadway soon in “We Live Here” and on film in Madonna‘s “W.E.”) play bumbling guys who seek revenge from robbers for the death of their dog, named Jolly. The comedy is described as being in the mode of the Coen Bros.’ “Fargo.” Wiig makes at least a cameo appearance, along with Ryan Phillippe, Elijah Wood, Adam Brody and possibly Gillian Jacobs. According to sources, Wiig is already shooting her part of the film, although principal photography isn’t supposed to begin until August 22nd. Wiig is suddenly busy as a bee. After her movie “Bridesmaids” has become the biggest “female R rated movie” of all time, she also has a much deserved Emmy nomination for her work on “Saturday Night Live.”
