Carly Simon is still, unaccountably, not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. She had tons of hits and won an Oscar, god’s sake.

Anyway today is her birthday– happy birthday, Carly! Here’s a rare clip from Howard Stern from 2002 in which she performed some of her songs. What a voice! What a face!

Carly just appeared two weeks ago as Clive Davis’s guest on Richard Weitz’s Quarantunes Zoom show. Alas there are no clips as yet. But she and her band–which included her son, Ben Taylor, and actor Tony Shalhoub– really knocked it out of the park live from her Martha’s Vineyard barn on “Anticipation.”

She’s a keeper!

Showbiz411 is now in its 13th year of providing breaking and exclusive entertainment news. This is an independent site, unlike the many Hollywood trades that are owned by one company. To continue providing news that takes a fresh look at what's going on in movies, music, theater, etc, advertising is our basis. Reader donations would be greatly appreciated, too. They are just another facet of keeping fact based journalism alive.
