A new update Weds morning: Robert Downey Jr and the guys from “The Avengers” are presenting together…

Oscar update: ABC says it’s sold out all the ad spots for the Academy Awards show on February 24th. There’s a lot of anticipation of solid ratings because the nominated movies are all incredibly popular this year. Plus, Adele and Barbra Streisand are performing, with more names to come. Meanwhile, the Academy has announced that Meryl Streep, Jean DuJardin, Christopher Plummer, and Octavia Spencer are all presenting to the new winners this year. As my pal Scott Feinberg pointed out today on Twitter, Meryl Streep–our greatest actress– will likely present to our greatest actor–Daniel Day Lewis. How very cool!

Showbiz411 is now in its 13th year of providing breaking and exclusive entertainment news. This is an independent site, unlike the many Hollywood trades that are owned by one company. To continue providing news that takes a fresh look at what's going on in movies, music, theater, etc, advertising is our basis. Reader donations would be greatly appreciated, too. They are just another facet of keeping fact based journalism alive.
