What do we always need on Broadway?

Some top notch Neil Simon.

There’s nothing better in that category that “The Odd Couple.”

I’m told Felix and Oscar are planning a return to the Rialto next spring.

The big news is that “The Office” star Steve Carell and past Oscar nominee John C. Reilly will now fill the shoes of Walter Matthau and Lemmon, as well as Tony Randall and Jack Klugman.

This, as they say, all the stars align.

I’m told that Thomas Kail, of “Hamilton” fame, will direct. And “Hamilton” producer Jeffrey Seller will put on the show.

And yes, this will sell right out. Each of these actors is a huge draw. Carell was last on Broadway in 2024 with “Uncle Vanya.” Reilly has starred on Broadway three times, in “Streetcar Named Desire” in 2005, had a Tony nomination for “True West,” in 2000, and “The Grapes of Wrath” in 1990.

It will be great to see them both back.

Now, who is Felix and who is Oscar? My guess would be Carell for Felix and Reilly for Oscar. But no one has told me and I could be wrong.
