Finally!

Al Pacino will receive the SAG AFTRA Lifetime Achievement Award next winter.

The award is given as the Actors Award, and it’s a big deal.

Pacino has a stunning six decade career that includes his Oscar for “Scent of a Woman.”

But he really should have won twice for playing Michael Corleone in “The Godfather” movies.

The Actor Awards will be shown live on Netflix on February 28th from the Shrine Auditorium.

Who will present it to him? Maybe Robert De Niro. They’re reuniting soon in “Heat 2.”

Now, that’s a show I want to watch!

Al says in a statement: “I wondered and wandered most of my life but have always felt at home with a script and my fellow actors. It’s the work and the actors along the way that have been among the greatest joys of my life. It’s an honor to be recognized by SAG-AFTRA in celebrating the journey.”

To continue providing news that takes a fresh look at what's going on in movies, music, theater, etc, advertising is our basis. Reader donations would be greatly appreciated, too. They are just another facet of keeping fact based journalism alive.
