“Digger” is no longer alone.

The second box office bomb of the month is here.

Aaron Sorkin’s “The Social Reckoning” had its own reckoning yesterday.

The semi-sequel to “The Social Network” collapsed in previews with just $650,000.

The film about the lack of integrity or ethics at Facebook stars Jeremy Strong, Jeremy Allen White, and Mikey Madison.

The gist of it is that lacking any conscience, Facebook caused the January 6th insurrection.

Unfortunately, there is no audience for a film that has no “gotcha” moment. Nothing is revealed or exposed. But man, the characters talk a lot. A lot.

It’s a mess for Sony, which is living off of “Spider Man: Brand New Day” but can’t make a movie work without Peter Parker. If only he’d swung into the Facebook story!

Meantime, “Digger” fell 20% last night from Wednesday, making just $585k. The Tom Cruise movie goes into its second weekend with $11.2 million.

Showbiz411 is now in its 13th year of providing breaking and exclusive entertainment news. This is an independent site, unlike the many Hollywood trades that are owned by one company. To continue providing news that takes a fresh look at what's going on in movies, music, theater, etc, advertising is our basis. Reader donations would be greatly appreciated, too. They are just another facet of keeping fact based journalism alive.
