The 2026 Nobel Prize for Peace was just announced in Oslo, Norway.

Guess who didn’t get it?

War mongering, violence encouraging racist, accused rapist, philanderer, 34 time convicted felon, best friend of Jeffrey Epstein, Donald Trump.

The honoree is South African Born Navi Pillay International Jurist and Human Rights Advocate.

This should drive Trump crazy: She was born in Durban, South Africa, to parents whose families migrated from India as indentured laborers. Her career as a jurist includes serving as the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.

The South Africa-born Pillay, 85 years old, was recognised for her efforts to promote peace and international law, said Jørgen Watne Frydnes, Chair of the Norwegian Nobel Committee.

Navi Pillay chairs the United Nations Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and Israel (COI OPTEJI).

This choice will be controversial. Her 2025 UN commission found Israel guilty of genocide. Read her NYT Times essay here.

Showbiz411 is now in its 13th year of providing breaking and exclusive entertainment news. This is an independent site, unlike the many Hollywood trades that are owned by one company. To continue providing news that takes a fresh look at what's going on in movies, music, theater, etc, advertising is our basis. Reader donations would be greatly appreciated, too. They are just another facet of keeping fact based journalism alive.
