Madonna, 68 years young, has gotten 11 MTV VMA nominations today.
That’s the most of any artist this year. They’re all for her “Confessions II” album videos.
She shares a couple of the noms with Sabrina Carpenter, who made Madonna more relevant in 2026.
Madonna received more than Sabrina, Taylor Swift, or Ella Langley. Ella was totally snubbed except in the country category. Her song, “Choosin’ Texas,” has broken records at number 1 this summer. To me it sounds just like Albert Hammond’s 1972 hit, “It Never Rains in Southern California.”
Is there still an MTV? Do they show music videos? I don’t know. But congrats to the nominees!
