You’ve got to feel sorry for Cheryl Hines. She bought Robert Kennedy Jr’s crap wholesale, and now she’s been done in.

New York Magazine says — as reported by the Status newsletter — that reporter Olivia Nuzzi had an affair with Kennedy beginning around the end of last year.

She’s been put on leave. Nuzzi is a star reporter at New York. She’s also obviously insane.

Nuzzi’s portrait of Kennedy for New York was ironically published on November 22, 2023 — the anniversary of the assassination of RFK Jr’s uncle President John F. Kennedy.

Kennedy is already established as a liar and a cheat. His second wife hanged herself in their barn when she discovered his sex diary noting dozens of affairs in one year.

It’s the same Kennedy who was running for president and then endorsed Donald Trump.

Here’s the Note to Readers from New York magazine:

“Recently our Washington Correspondent Olivia Nuzzi acknowledged to the magazine’s editors that she had engaged in a personal relationship with a former subject relevant to the 2024 campaign while she was reporting on the campaign, a violation of the magazine’s standards around conflicts of interest and disclosures. Had the magazine been aware of this relationship, she would not have continued to cover the presidential campaign. An internal review of her published work has found no inaccuracies nor evidence of bias. She is currently on leave from the magazine, and the magazine is conducting a more thorough third-party review. We regret this violation of our readers’ trust.”

It’s Oliver Darcy at Status that revealed the person in question was Kennedy.

Hines must be beside herself. She’s defended Kennedy over and over, actually putting her own career and friendships in danger. No one has understood her devotion to him, considering his reputation. But this has to more than she could ever have imagined.
