Tom Hanks is coming back to Broadway.

Next fall, Tom will revive his off Broadway play, “The World of Tomorrow,” at a Shubert Theater to be determined.

When “The World of Tomorrow” ran off Broadway at The Shed in Hudson Yards, the prices were off the wall at $700 a ticket.

When the two time Oscar winner returns, there’s a chance he’ll top those prices and maybe even the current ones for Julia Louis-Dreyfus and company in “Other Desert Cities.” Those ducats are over $1,000 bucks right now.

It’s possible Tom will ring the bell higher than Denzel Washington in “Othello” or George Clooney in “Goodnight and Good Luck.” At that level, you wonder who this is all for, and what’s the point?

Tony veteran Kelli O’Hara will repeat her role in Hanks’s play from off Broadway. And she’s not even singing! Let’s hope she’s well compensated.

PS “The World of Tomorrow” received mixed to positive reviews off Broadway. Maybe Tom and co-writer James Glossman will do some tweaking to make it even better.
