Warner Bros. is using the shovel from “Digger” to dig a grave.

Tom Cruise’s controversial and mostly disliked movie is losing most of its theaters tomorrow.

After two weeks.

“Digger” is leaving 2,535 screens after tonight. It will be left with just 786 screens. Shocking. In most of the remaining theaters, “Digger” will have just one or two shows a day.

For Cruise, it’s a stunning development. By the end of next week, there won’t be much left. Studio movies usually get 28 day runs. Not this one.

At least, since I reported earlier, Neil Young loves it. But he has a heart of gold.

Showbiz411 is now in its 13th year of providing breaking and exclusive entertainment news. This is an independent site, unlike the many Hollywood trades that are owned by one company. To continue providing news that takes a fresh look at what's going on in movies, music, theater, etc, advertising is our basis. Reader donations would be greatly appreciated, too. They are just another facet of keeping fact based journalism alive.
