Just in time to vote, we have a new official US citizen.

It’s Joni Mitchell, beloved pop superstar.

Joni is famous for being Canadian. But now she’s American, too. The almost 83 year old has lived in the US since the 1960s but it’s never been official.

Who could be more welcome?

The Grammy winning composer of “Both Sides Now,” “Help Me,” the “Blue” album, and “Woodstock” looks pretty happy in the video she posted.

Congrats! Mazel tov!

Showbiz411 is now in its 13th year of providing breaking and exclusive entertainment news. This is an independent site, unlike the many Hollywood trades that are owned by one company. To continue providing news that takes a fresh look at what's going on in movies, music, theater, etc, advertising is our basis. Reader donations would be greatly appreciated, too. They are just another facet of keeping fact based journalism alive.
