People Magazine All-in With JLo Team Spinning Ben Affleck as “Moody” and “In Control” of Her Documentary

LOL.

People magazine should really separate their JLo Is the Victim stories by a day, maybe two.

But today they’ve got two up on their homepage, and according to them, Ben Affleck is the Devil.

In one story, unnamed sources claim Ben’s “mood changes” were too much for Lopez, contributing to the couple’s break up.

Then, in an even better bit of spun gold, Affleck had “total control” of Lopez’s failed documentary, “The Greatest Love Story Never Told.” Suddenly it’s his fault the doc tanked, and that’s what caused the mega famous couple to call it quits.

People is in the grip of publicists, and I know who they are. But any quote on this subject is a good one for People, even if it’s just the publicist giving it.

Lopez is obviously in big spin here. She lost the lost in this debacle. Her album and her film were duds, and her concert tour was cancelled for lack of ticket sales. Affleck, meantime, did very well with his “Air” movie, and his film career continues to be successful.

No one knows what happens in a marriage, so you can’t blame anyone. But Lopez loves attention. She can’t stop posting selfies and paparazzi — mostly tipped by her — so she stays in the public eye. Even today she’s promoting new pictures on Instagram. There’s never a respite. She’s in Europe, in the Hamptons, in Manhattan, back in LA. We know more about where Lopez is every day than we do our own families!

The slow weekend news is that Ben was seen having lunch with Robert Kennedy Jr’s daughter, Kick, at the Polo Lounge in the Beverly Hills Hotel. That place is a vault of secrecy, so someone called it in. I wonder who? It’s more than likely that the lunch partners were bonding over AA, not having a tryst in public. Affleck — a dyed in the wool liberal — certainly has no interest in Kennedy’s father, who just endorsed Trump.

What happened to People magazine? Since being jettisoned from Time Inc they’ve really gone the way of US Magazine. The original editors are rolling in their graves.
