Actress Cheryl Hines was walking a fine line until today.

As wife of a lunatic possible presidential candidate, she kept a low profile while having a Hollywood career. For two decades, Hines has had a permanent role on HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm.

But today Hines came out of the closet, speaking at the press conference where crackpot conspiracy theorist Robert Kennedy Jr was announcing his vice presidential running mate, Nicole Shanahan.

Will Hollywood curb its enthusiasm now for Hines, who has stepped out of the shadows? The HBO show is over. Future jobs may not be available now that Hines had gone full fledged in support of her husband.

She may not care. She’s drunk the Kool Aid and spread it around to the crowd in Dixie Cups. The Kennedys are wealthy enough that she doesn’t have to work again.

See her speech below. Unless she claims a Patti Hearst defense in the future, we won’t be seeing Hines again on the big or small screen for a long time.

Note to Hines: America is indeed listening. And we are horrified.

Showbiz411 is now in its 13th year of providing breaking and exclusive entertainment news. This is an independent site, unlike the many Hollywood trades that are owned by one company. To continue providing news that takes a fresh look at what's going on in movies, music, theater, etc, advertising is our basis. Reader donations would be greatly appreciated, too.
