Ratings Shocker: “Grey’s Anatomy” Returned Trounced by Competition, Is This The End?

Share

“Grey’s Anatomy” returned for a 20th season last night and was trounced by its competition.

Grey’s on ABC was beaten soundly by “Law & Order SVU” on NBC, and “So Help Me Todd” on CBS.

Also thoroughly trashed was “Station 19,” in its final season. ABC moved it to 10pm so they could bring in “911” at 8pm. They also heavily promoted “911” and did very little for the other shows.

Is “Grey’s” done? Could be. Little by little, ABC has chucked the shows of Shonda Rhimes, the great producer and storyteller, who left them for Netflix.

The result of moving “Station 19” to 10pm wasn’t just bad ratings. They handed NBC a win with “Law & Order: Organized Crime” — they never win! Anything! Chris Meloni should send ABC bouquets of flowers! LOL!
