Oscars Choose Mid March Date for 2023 as ABC Clearly Wants It Out of Feb Sweeps

Share

The 95th Academy Awards are coming next March.

The Oscars are not returning to the last Sunday in February, however. With lower ratings the show has been clearly moved by ABC out of February sweeps.

The new date is Sunday, March 12th, two weeks earlier than the recent show on March 27th but also two weeks later than the old date.

The Oscar year will still end on December 31st.

Meantime, everyone at all the Oscar prognostication sites is choosing the wrong film, sight unseen, as winner of Best Picture now. And the host? If it’s not Chris Rock, people will be disappointed!
