Oscars: Academy Invites Include Brothers (Murdoch) and Sisters (Wachowski) Who Used to Be Brothers

Among the new members of the Academy are a pair of brothers and a pair of sisters who used to be brothers.

Under Studio Executives, James Murdoch and Lachlan Murdoch, sons of Rupert, are now Oscar voters. They own Fox Studios so it does make sense. Will they just push right wing films?

Under Directors: Lana and Lilly Wachowski, who used to be Larry and Andy. The directors of “The Matrix” are certainly the first ever sibling transgenders to become part of the Academy. I’m surprised they weren’t in as brothers. (If so, then it’s even steven, as Jerry Seinfeld used to say.)

It’s really a new day.
