He had the rare ability to communicate with any audience he was speaking to because of his enormous capacity for compassion and understanding of humanity. He was a great American, a wise philosopher and a dear friend. I send my deepest sympathies to Matilda and his family on this very sad occasion of his passing. And I will always cherish the fact that he and Matilda were our witnesses when I married my wife Susan.”
