Ridley Scott ’s “Robin Hood” will open the Cannes Film Festival on May 12th.

This means the red carpet at the Palais will be buzzing with Russell Crowe, Cate Blanchett , and other stars. That’s a lot to look forward to for the French and for moi!
The word is that “Robin Hood” is terrific, very “Gladiator” like, and should be the hit Universal’s Ron Meyer ’s been looking for. Good news all the way around!
