Home Movies Lindsay Lohan Soft Core Porn “Canyons” Total: $30,000

Lindsay Lohan can chalk up “The Canyons” to pre-rehab mania. But the Paul Schrader directed, Brett Easton Ellis soft core porn extravaganza is done at the box office. After debuting last week, this week “The Canyons” box office fell 28%. That makes its total just $30,100.

Coincidentally, that’s the same amount rehab facilities were offering Lohan if she cleaned up with them.

Lindsay topless and looking uncomfortable, real life porn actor James Deen frontless and pantless and unable to perform (I mean act) added up to a disaster of a film that shouldn’t have been made in the first place.

IFC Films took a gamble on it becoming a cult film by paying nothing for “The Canyons.” They got nothing in return. The upside is that Deen goes back to oblivion. Lindsay can focus on turning her career around. There’s no place to go but up after “The Canyons.”

  1. She’s done and the sooner she realizes it the sooner she can try to really straighten herself out. Her parents have lost their meal ticket so they should be prepared to move on also.

  2. friedman is just a nasty, old crank who takes delight in putting other people down. nobody expected this flick to be a big blockbuster. it’s more likely to have a cult status….especially for anybody who has ever spent any time in ‘the canyon’.

  3. I think I like Lindsey better than Roger, while she may be adrift at least she can say she did something good bad or ugly, its better than sitting on your butt all day and criticizing everyone else.

  4. I made the stupid mistake of ordering this piece of junk on cable. A better title for this atrocity would’ve been “Dirtbags,” plain and simple. And, what was director Paul Schrader thinking to accept this job?

  5. I’m pretty sure this movie is terrible and that it will be a box office disaster, but your article is a bit disingenuous. The movie was only available on 4 screens nationwide, approximately $2400 per screen, which – compared to nationwide releases – would have put it around #6 for the weekend. Again, I have no doubt the film is Dreck, but a little context might be helpful.

  6. It’s pretty sad when only 3,000 people in America would pay to see her nude.
Frankly, I can’t imagine why she did this, a true downward spiral ever since getting in trouble with the law.

  7. Fantastic, a rehab facility willing to pay someone to be able to help them. What a great country we live in. Get hooked on drugs, screw up your life, get paid to get clean. lol, man, I am in the wrong business.
