Really Super, Supergirl: Watch The Flash Director Andy Muschietti Give “Young and the Restless” Actress the Good News


Talk about a soap opera! “Young and the Restless” actress Sasha Calle is getting sprung from afternoon drama. She’s the new Supergirl in Andy Muschietti’s “The Flash” with Ezra Miller, Ben Affleck and many others from the DC Universe. You can watch the director give her the good news below. It’s a happy turn of events for Calle, whose soap character was coming to an end anyway. She’s going to be a movie star. Not bad. PS Don’t forget, the original Superman, Chris Reeve, came from soaps. So did another one, Brandon Routh.
