Megyn Kelly Beaten on First Day Bestseller Lists by…Bernie Sanders, Bill O’Reilly, JK Rowling

Megyn Kelly came out of the gait Tuesday with a blitz of PR on Dr. Phil, CBS Morning News and other outlets. The top draw anchor on Fox News launched her book, “Settle for More,” with blasts at Fox News, Roger Ailes and Donald Trump. She was refreshingly candid and seemed like a person who is about change jobs.

So, how’d she do? Did “Settle for More” zoom to number 1? It did not. I’m surprised, too. But Kelly’s book is number 5 on amazon.com and number 9 on Barnes & Noble’s website. Those sites are the fastest measurement of a topical book’s appeal.

And who beat Megyn to number 1? Why, Bernie Sanders is number 1. I didn’t even know he had a book out yesterday. It’s called “Our Revolution: A Future to Believe In” and it’s published by Thomas Dunne/St. Martin’s Press. It’s number 1 on amazon and number 3 on Bn.com.

Between Megyn and Bernie is Megyn’s Fox nemesis, Bill O’Reilly, jockeying for position with his branded “Killing” series. This one is written by Martin Dugard. And JK Rowling’s “Fantastic Beasts” tie in to her movie, coming out Friday, is also in the top five mix.

You gotta hand it to Bernie Sanders. The old boy is full of new tricks.
