Swift’s peeps refused to let Spotify stream the album, so that certainly added to actual sales. “1989” becomes the only million selling album of the year. Quite amazing. This may be the last actual hit album in history. God bless her, Swift worked for it. You can’t get away from her at this point. “1989” sold more copies than the entire top 50, maybe more than the top 100 in total. That’s the state of the business.
