Pay close attention here.

Rebecca Miller is the terrific writer director of movies like “Maggie’s Plan” and “Personal Velocity.” Her father was Arthur Miller, her husband is Daniel Day-Lewis.

She’s gotten together a bunch of great actors for a movie she’s going to make called “She Came to Me.” The stars in it you know are Anne Hathaway, Marisa Tomei, and Matthew Broderick. The names you might not know are amazing non-Americans: Joanna Kulig from “Cold War” and Tahar Rahim from “The Mauritanian.” They are all knock outs. I want to see this movie!

Killer Films’ Christine Vachon, who knows what she’s doing, and Pamela Koffler are producing alongside Miller and Damon Cardasis from Round Films. Protagonist Films will sell the worldwide rights at Cannes’ Marche du Film from June 21st to the 25th.

“She Came to Me” is described as “a truly modern romantic comedy, a multi-generational story set against the iconic backdrop of New York: a composer suffering from writer’s block rediscovers his passion after an adventurous one-night stand, a couple of gifted teenagers fight to prove to the parents that their young love is something that can last forever, and for the woman who seemingly has it all – love arrives in the most unexpected places.”

So let’s cross our fingers, and hope this all comes off without a hitch. I like Rebecca Miller, she’s also my neighbor. I just hope she doesn’t doesn’t shoot “She Came to Me” on our street. We have few enough parking spaces already!
