Cry Now, Laugh Later as R&B Pop Star Drake Releases New Song, Video Infomercial for Nike, Shot at their HQ

Share

Drake is back. Well, he’s never gone for long.

Drake’s new “song” is called “Laugh Now, Cry Later,” but I’d say it’s more “Cry Now, Laugh Later.” The video is basically an infomercial for Nike, shot at their headquarters. The entire thing is a shameless promotional device. Did Nike even pay for it? Even if they didn’t, it’s like the reverse of product placement. It’s almost like Drake is the product that’s been placed. Nike is the main idea.

This may be why the single didn’t go straight to number 1 on iTunes. It’s number 4. Even Drake fans can smell a rat here.
