“Days of our Lives” Halts Production, But Headwriter Says They’ve Already Taped Halloween, “Y&R,” “B&B” Also Shut Down

The soaps are now all on hiatus.

“Days of our Lives” headwriter Ron Carlivati has tweeted that the show has halted production.

Luckily, that show tapes so far ahead he says they’ve already taped Halloween, and have shot into November. He’s just writing Christmas now.

Late last night, “The Young and the Restless” and “The Bold and the Beautiful” also shut down after waiting til the last minute. “General Hospital” had already shut down last week.

The latter three shows tape about six weeks in advance. If they run out of shows, they can always rerun classic episodes. Viewers would love to see “best of ” weeks.
