“Fifty Shades” Whip Appeal: $81 Mil Weekend But Future is Unclear

Share

“Fifty Shades of Grey” tortured fans to the tune of $81 million this weekend. By the end of President’s Day weekend tomorrow night, the much derided hardware heavy film should have $90 mil in the bank. Nevertheless, the future is a little unclear. Friday night brought $30 million. The box office is declining each day. Will “Fifty Shades” have a robust second weekend? Or was this just a great marketing hook for Valentine’s Day? I guess we’ll have to wait and see. Reviews won’t be bringing people in, just word of mouth. But the movie’s made its money, and that’s all that counts in this story.

keep refreshing for more box office results…
