The album and its singles were not eligible for the dance music categories in the grammys, because they were vocal pop songs which just happened to be dance pop. The dance music categories are now geared towards EDM music such as Skrillex, Moby type artists. The days of Kylie, Britney, Madonna winning dance grammys is over.

There are a lot of lies on this article. The album returned to Billboard TOP 200 albums in September 2012 when the tour hit US for several weeks (returning even to the TOP 100 part). One single was #10 at the Hot 100 making it to Gold for sales over 500.000 copies. Also got her 2 singles at TOP 40 Pop Radio Hits – the last time she achieved 2 singles at TOP 40 Pop Radio before was with “Music” album in 2000. She also scored 3 singles at the #01 Club Plays Dance Chart. The album is going to be the best classified Madonna album at the Billboard Year End Chart next week (TOP 30) since “Music” came out in 2000. It was also certified Gold (Her 20th Gold album). In chart placement this album was more successful than “American Life” or “Hard Candy”. Overall album sales dropped 40% since 2008 but her album sales are only 30% less than her previous studio album. She didn’t get a huge hit from this album and the album Itself wasn’t huge but it doesn’t look like a big flop also – most artists would die for this kind of flop!

The album is in the top ten selling albums of the year, its first week sales were partially helped by tour bundling but not even close to the amount that the media tried to make out. Its already Gold in the the USA, has made nearly 2 million worldwide…..i think its done fine
