Accordingly , the service she gave all her clients was superlative, genuinely caring, highly effective, and sagacious . The kindness, fairness, warmth and integrity that she showed everyone made her highly respected, trusted, , and beloved by all and reflected positively on her stellar clients who by her example behaved with dignity and consideration and gratefulness for others who worked with and for them and generated an esprit de couer greatly missing in today's landscape.
Lois Smith was a true mentor who unselfishly shared her invaluable expertise and savvy, with many who had the privilege to be in her orbit. She graciously shared the credit and praise that came her way with those around her unlike many less talented and worthy people. An avid supporter of women in the entertainment business and all walks of life she also gave generously and tirelessly often without any compensation or credit to the people and causes she championed. Her efforts were all the more admirable because her health was not always perfect, her lifestyle, despite her success was modest and unassuming, and not without tragedy or cares. She counted among her friends , colleagues, and clients some of the most talented , revered and legendary actors, producers, directors, as well as great thinkers, humanitarians, politicians, and respected arbiters of opinion and taste. I was not a major or minor player in her life but I am grateful as are countless others for the opportunity to have known her . Lois Smith was a giant in red in the business who served and was greatly loved and respected by all who were fortunate to have known her. My sincerest sympathies to her family and outrageously wide circle of friends.
