SallyinChicago: Please do not tell children to hide their family’s dirty laundry. There is far too much of that that goes on. The adults in their lives need to remember how to be responsible, which partially means owning up to what they’ve done wrong. If they can’t handle being revealed in public, they’re either too immature, too evil, or both. Besides, Paris was reacting, in public, to what her own family members had declared, in public. They need positive, honest adults who don’t have anything to hide.

Whether those family members are right or not about Michael’s will and the executors, they should not have blind-sided the children like that. Also, Katherine should have shown more responsibility and kept in touch with her charges, although I understand why she ran away for a little break. All in all, I think Michael’s children showed a lot of maturity and strength, and conviction in doing the right thing.

Katharine may be in denial. She’s 82. While she looks good, a mini-stroke is very common at that age. At the least, to stop all the confusion, she could have called (or tweeted) the children; or someone should have told the children that she was in Arizona. To say absolutely nothing at all for 9 days is what set this all off.
But the kids should be cautioned against tweeting the family’s dirty laundry and I’m sure somebody is taking them aside to tell them.
